Winsly
Pros
Regulated by the Estonian Tax and Customs Board
Fresh, new casino to play in
Massive welcome bonuses
Sports betting available
Cons
Limited number of promotions
Badly structured games library
Limited number of suppliers
Low amount of payment options
Table of contents
Winsly is a newly launched online casino and sportsbook, and it makes a decent enough impression with a clean website and as simple sign-up process. Creating an account with the casino does require you to submit and verify a phone number – privacy-conscious players might be put off by this, but the account creation process is otherwise quite fast.
Once we made an account, we noticed that there were just a couple of payment methods available for deposits. There was just one means of cashing out as well. What's more, the games were pretty difficult to browse. Even though they are divided into several sections on the landing page of the website, there is no way to filter them by their Suppliers. We cannot really be sure how many of these casino software providers Winsly partners with, as a result of that. This means its library seems a bit more limited than we'd like it to be. We also noted a couple of issues with its Bonus policies. Notably, there are not as many of them as we would like to see.
So, is this casino a good place to play or not? Check out our full review of it, available below, in order to learn more about what it does right and where it fails:
Bonuses
First off, we would like to start off with the Bonuses of the casino. As we said before, there are less of them here than we'd like to see. But the promotions which are available are actually up to par! Here is what they look like:
Bonus | Min deposit | Max bonus | Wagering requirements | Cash out limit |
Welcome Bonuses | €20 | 7000 spins | 0x | €10 000 |
Monday Bonus | Unspecified | €500 | 0x | €500 |
Friday Bonus | Unspecified | €500 | 0x | €500 |
There are essentially two types of promotion this casino has to offer. The first among them are the massive Welcome Bonuses, and then there are the Monday and Friday Bonuses, which are pretty much the same promotion. Let's take a look at the generous initial deposit promotions first:
There are six Welcome Bonuses in total, and each of them works in a similar way. These promotions hand out massive amounts of Free Spins to the account of the player, up to a maximum of 7000 Spins in total. These spins are spread across the six bonuses, and have the same conditions for cashing out. Namely, there are no wagering requirements. This is pretty unusual, since most casinos nowadays do require you to play through their bonuses a certain amount of times before you can withdraw them. Of course, we are not going to complain about such a restriction not being in place! Additionally, we are quite impressed with the low minimum deposit amount which you need to cash in in order to make use of the bonus. This amount is just €20, which is pretty competitive.
On the flip side, however, we would like to mention that the whole promotion has a joint cash out limit of €10 000. This is sensible, because of the lack of a wagering requirement we just discussed!
Now, let's take a closer look at each of the bonuses:
- The First Deposit Bonus is the most generous of the six. It awards the players with two Free Spins for every €1 they cash in. There are a total of 2000 Spins up for grabs via this promotion, which is an absolutely staggering number.
- Next, there are the Second, Third and Fourth Deposit bonuses. Each one of these promotion adds 1 Spin for every Euro you deposit, up to a maximum of 1000 Spins each. This is still a fairly high amount, and we really like how many stages the Welcome deposit bonus has.
- There are finally the Fifth and Sixth Deposit Bonuses, which round out the promotion. They have smaller multipliers for your deposits, and you can only get up to 500 from each of the promotions. You will receive 1 Spin for every €2 deposited.
These bonuses are quite great. We also like the fact that they are credited in bundles of 20% of the total amount of Spins you have received, which will keep you engaged for five days at least. Each of these smaller amounts you receive daily also contains spins for a different game! This ensures that no-one will get bored of playing the same slot, and encourages players to explore new games!
Next, let's take a look at the two Recurring Bonuses which are also available with the casino. These can be claimed twice each week, from Monday-Thursday and between Friday and Sunday. These bonuses don't have their minimum deposit requirements available on the website of the casino, so we don't actually know how much you need t cash in in order to obtain them. They are handed out in Mystery Boxes, which contain a random amount of Spins with a value of between €0.2 and €10 per Spin. The total amount of Spins you can get is not mentioned, but the total value of the Spins you can receive from the promotion is up to €500 per bonus. There is once again no wagering requirement, but as a trade-off you cannot withdraw anything over the value of the Spins you've received.
These bonuses are actually quite good, and they can keep the player engaged, as they are available bi-weekly. However, we cannot say that they are enough. We were hoping to see more Recurring promotions, and, in particular, bonuses which reward players with Bonus cash. This lack of fun promotions is especially disappointing considering that the ones which are available are genuinely great!
It is also worth noting that Winsly does participate in the Drops and Wins Tournament, hosted by Pragmatic Play. This allows players to rank against each other on a leaderboard, and have a share of a prize pool of €225 000, distributed to them on a weekly basis. There is also the opportunity to get the day's lucky Drop, which is a one-time €35 000 reward. However, this promotion can also be found with other participating casinos, which might have it available alongside a more robust amount of recurring promotions and deposit incentives for players!
License
The website of this casino contains the following claim:
According to it, the house is licensed with the Estonian Customs and Tax Board. As unlikely as it seems from the name of the license issuer, this is actually the regulatory body which oversees online gambling in the country! We consulted with its register, and tried to find whether Winsly was licensed there:
Sure enough, this house turned out to be regulated! Estonia is not the most popular destination for casino operators to set up in – that would be Curacao, Malta or the UK. However, the protections players have access to with houses licensed by its domestic regulator are really up to par. Here is what they are:
- Firstly, here are strict rules about combatting financial crime, which casino operators need to follow. They need to make sure their players are depositing funds which are not the proceeds of crimes, and that there are ways to prevent the casino from being used for money-laundering.
- Secondly, casinos need to ensure that the local laws about the minimum gambling age, set to 21 for Estonia, are followed up on. This helps foster a safer environment for everyone, by excluding vulnerable people from playing.
- Thirdly, continuing with the policies aimed at protecting vulnerable players, there is always the option to set custom deposit limits, when you are playing with a casino with an Estonian license. This option actually has to be presented to the player right when they make an account!
There are plenty of protections casinos licensed in the country are able to provide you with. As always, regardless of the jurisdiction you are playing in, a licensed house is a better bet than its unregulated peers!
That said, we'd like to share a bit more information about the casino. Here are the languages its website can be viewed in:
Languages: English, Finnish
And here is a list of the countries, from where the casino does not accept new players:
Restricted countries: Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Show All, Bulgaria, United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Virgin Islands, U.S.
It is very common for casinos to exclude players from certain jurisdictions, because of the gambling laws within said jurisdictions. If you find yourself within one of these restricted countries, check out the recommended casinos on top of this article for a house which you can sign up with.
Deposit and Withdrawal
Cashing in with Winsly is a competitive enough process, but the payment methods are too few. Essentially, you will only be able to deposit via either a credit card or the Revolut and MiFinity e-wallets. There are no e-vouchers, bank payments, or crypto transfers available. We are not really happy with this small selection of payment methods. Instead, houses which offer you a wider selection of means of cashing in are preferable in our view. Regardless, here are the deposit conditions of this casino, as well as the currencies you can cash in with:
Deposit method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Credit/Debit Card | €20 | €5000 | Instant | Free |
Revolut | €20 | €5000 | Instant | Free |
MiFinity | €20 | €2500 | Instant | Free |
Currencies: Euro (EUR), Canadian Dollar (CAD), Norwegian Krone (NOK), South African Rand (ZAR)
The minimum deposit amount is set to €20, which is a bit on the high side of what other houses accept, but still decent overall. There are no deposit fees either, but players will be expected to cover any third party charges. These charges are the different fees of the payment providers you use. Now, there is pretty much no casino out there nowadays which will cover these for you, so we didn't expect Winsly to handle things any differently.
Overall, this is a robust Deposits policy. Let's take a look at how withdrawals are structured:
Withdrawal method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
MiFinity | €20 | €5000 | up to 3 days | Free |
First off, we are displeased with the single withdrawal option available. Plenty of casinos can process outgoing payments to credit cards and MiFinity, and we see no reason for this one not to be able to. We should also mention that there is a wagering requirement of 1x your deposits, which you need to clear to be able to cash out. This is a rather common policy, however, and raises no concerns in and of itself. Such measures are implemented in order to help make money laundering even more difficult.
As for the minimum and maximum deposit levels, they are €20 and €5000 per transaction. We consider these values to be very competitive. Usually, casinos set their maximum withdrawal amounts lower. We would also like to mention that there is a daily withdrawal limit of €10 000, which is also much higher than what is usually the case with casinos, as far as these restrictions go.
There are no fees for cashing out, but, as we mentioned, it is up to the player to cover the incidental third party fees which might pop up. And, just as we said before, that is the case with most casinos, so we are not going to hold the policy against Winsly.
Finally, we would like to mention there is also a fairly reasonable fee for inactivity, which is explained in the following paragraph of the casino's Terms and Conditions:
€5 is a fairly small amount for such a fee, and the charging of these fees is nothing uncommon either way.
Games and Game Suppliers
As we mentioned at the start, the games library of this casino is rather disorganized. That is because there is no list of the Suppliers it partners with available anywhere, and players have no means of filtering the games by their developer. This means we cannot really know how many of these developers there are, but we did see a couple of the bigger names among them. Here is which Suppliers we know Winsly has partnered with:
Game providers: Spinomenal, RubyPlay, Fantasma, Play'n GO, PragmaticPlay, NetEnt, Red Tiger Gaming, Evolution, ELK, Big Time Gaming, Relax Gaming, Wazdan, Other
Now, let's take a look at the different games which the house has as a result:
- Slots: There is a pretty big collection of Slots and Megaways games, and you can play your favorites like Gates of Olympus, Big Bass Bonanza, Dog House: Megaways, Elvis Frog Book of Dead, Wolf's Gold and so on. We like the fact that you can also browse the most popular games, as well as the newest games, because it makes navigation a bit easier.
- Table Games: Baccarat, Poker, Blackjack and Roulettes are available, in their Live and Virtual dealer forms. No casino can be complete without these classic experiences, and we are happy to report they are available with this one as well.
- Game Shows: There are a couple of Game Shows to tune in to as well. These include the popular Crazy Time, Funky Time, Crazy Coin Flip and more, found on the Live Casino tab of the house.
The Sportsbook of the casino is pretty well made, and we have no notes on it. There are different betting styles available, like Asian Handicap for Football, and the variety of markets is pretty huge. You can even play niche games like Gaelic Hurling. Live bets are accepted, and there are a couple of Virtual sports – Virtual races and Football available too. Esports can be found on their own tab of the sportsbook, and you can freely wager on games like DOtA 2, LOL, Valorant and so on, either by placing live or prematch bets!
Conclusion
There is a lot of room for improvement with this casino, but we cannot really say it is not competitive. Its limited amount of bonuses are pretty generous, and it offers access to many popular games. We do like its sportsbook as well. It is licensed, and its payment conditions are fine, even if the accepted payment methods are not enough. If you can live with the downsides of the house, do check it out!
