Winolot is a fresh new casino and sportsbook, and that makes it pretty promising. New gambling houses can be anything and there is always a lot of promise to them! But this one does not managed to live up to this, in our view. In fact, we consider Winolot to be quite unappealing, for several reasons.
Firstly, the house does not actually have a license, and that means that the overall level of legitimacy and security it has is way lower. Its payment policies are also fairly bad, too – they are limiting in terms of how many payment options there are. Worse yet, when it comes to withdrawals, the house keeps things close to its chest. It does not mention any minimum and maximum amounts, nor how long it takes to cash out. At the same time, we do know that withdrawal fees are possible, while other casinos don't charge those.
It should be mentioned that Winolot does get a couple of things right as well. There is a good selection of bonuses and the games library is pretty decent. The casino features anything from Slots to Crash games, and the sportsbook is fair enough too.
So, it seems difficult to give a concise rating to the house. Instead, we need to examine it in a lot more detail, in order to be able to say whether it's worth playing in or not. We've done just that in our full review of the casino below, and you should check it out in order to see whether Winolot is the right place to bet in:
Bonuses
The best part about the casino is the plethora of bonuses it has available. Players can pick between two different Welcome bonuses. Afterwards, there are plenty of generous Recurring promotions which will continuously award you with significant amounts of Free Spins, bonus cash and Freebet vouchers. Let's take a look at an outline of the promotions:
Bonus | Min deposit | Max bonus | Wagering requirements | Cash out limit |
Casino Welcome Package | €20 | 100% up to €1000 | 40x | 10x the bonus |
Sport Welcome Bonus | €10 | 100% up to €100 | 16x | 10x the bonus |
Reload Bonus | €20 | 50% up to €200 | 30x | 10x the bonus |
Tuesday Bonus | €20 | 50% up to €100 | 30x | 5x the bonus |
Monthly Free Spins | €20 | 200 spins | 40x | 5x the bonus |
Sports Reload Bonus | €10 | 50% up to €50 | 5x | 7x the bonus |
Monthly Freebet Tokens | €50 | 10% up to €50 | - | 5x the bonus |
Welcome Freebet | - | 20% up to €25 | - | 5x the bonus |
And now, we'd like to examine all of these bonuses up close, starting off with the two Welcome Offers:
- Players who are looking for casino games should pick the Casino Welcome Package. It covers the first four deposits you make, and awards you up to €1000 in total across them. The First Deposit bonus doubles your cashed in sum, up to €200. The Second and Third bonuses grant you 50% of the deposits with a maximum of €250. However, Winolot saves the best for last, by offering the player up to €300 as a part of the Fourth Deposit bonus, which comes with another 100% multiplier for their deposits. All of these promotions require you to cash in €20 or more to obtain each of them, which is great. Houses nowadays usually have similar entry costs for similar bonuses! The wagering requirement you need to meet in order to cash out the funds is 40x – a standard amount, which we expected to see from the casino. Wagering requirements represent a number of times you need to play through a bonus to cash it out, and are usually between 30x and 40x. Finally, there is a cash out limit of 10x the issued bonus, which means you cannot win anything over that amount. We consider that to be a fair enough condition.
- Next, the Welcome Sports Bonus awards you with 100% of the first deposit of over €10 you make, up to a maximum of €100. This low entry cost does make the sports welcome bonus quote attractive. On the other hand, the wagering requirement for the promotion is 16x, which is a bit much. Sports promotions normally need to be wagered only 5x to 10x, albeit on games with certain odds. However, not only does Winolot require you to play the bonus that many times, it also prohibits you from making bets with odds under 1.8. That is a completely ridiculous restriction, which makes the promotion way less attractive. There's also a cash out limit of 10x the bonus, too. Unfortunately, underwhelming sports bonuses seem to be the theme with the casino.
- Thirdly, once you place your first sports bet, you will be able to get 20% of that as a Welcome Freebet token. This promotion can be claimed independently from the other two, and awards you with up to €25. The point of Freebet tokens is that, once the casino settles a bet, it takes out player losses from the token first, instead of your balance. Regular deposit bonuses work the other way around. As for this particular token, it comes with an unspecified wagering requirement and a 5x cash out limit.
We would like to cover the Recurring promotions with the casino as well. It offers both promotions for its Table games, Slots and so on, and for the Sportsbook, which can be claimed multiple times. Let's take a look at what those Casino bonuses look like:
- The first of the bonuses is the so-called Reload Bonus. Its name is quite descriptive, as the promotion rewards you with 50% of your deposit, up to a maximum of €200. This promotion is available once per week, per player requests. The bonus has a very reasonable wagering requirement of 30x. As we said before, that trends towards the low end of what casinos require of their players these days. Additionally, the cash out limit of 10x the bonus funds is quite fair as well.
- Secondly, there is the Tuesday Bonus. It features a low minimum deposit requirement of €20, and allows you to get 50% of whatever you cash in during the day it's active as a bonus, up to a maximum of €100. The wagering requirement for the promotion is set to a very low amount – just 30x. There's also a decent enough cash out limit of 5x the bonus you've received.
- In our view, the worst bonus offered by the casino is the Monthly Free Spins. The promotion advertises that you can get up to 300 Free Spins per month with it, but that's not the case. The bonus awards you with between 10 and 100 Spins, based on how much you've cashed in to obtain it. The minimum deposit amount of €20 nets you the lowest bundle, and the 100 Spins can be received with a matching deposit of at least €100. The promotion can be obtained only twice per month, so the maximum number of Spins is 200, and that would require you to cash in a total of €200 as well. That's not really worth it in our view. The Spins have a higher wagering requirement of 40x to them too, which makes them even less appealing. Their cash out limit is the same as the previous bonus.
Now, let's go over the Sports Promotions you can claim with Winolot. They have the same unfortunate condition to them as the Welcome Sports bonus, which allowed players to only place bets on games with odds of 1.8 or higher. We don't think that's fair at all! But, as you'll see, each of the bonuses has more issues to it as well:
- The Sports Reload Bonus seems fair enough on its face. Cash in €10 or more and claim a 50% bonus up to €50. However, in order to actually get the bonus, you need to wager the deposited sum at least three times. Now, that preliminary wagering requirement is completely unreasonable, and you won't find many casinos with such conditions to their bonuses. Not to mention that you are also expected to wager the bonus five more times to cash it out. The house has a cash out limit of 7x for the promotion, and that is fair enough at least.
- The Monthly Freebet Tokens might be our least favorite bonus from this casino. They are just so incredibly underwhelming that we don't believe players should even bother. The promotion consists of three tokens you can get each month, with values of up to €10, €15 and €25. The deposit you need to perform in order to obtain either one of them is at least €50, which is incredibly high, especially for what you are getting out of the deal. Each of the tokens is worth 10% of the qualifying deposit. That way, you need to cash in €250 for a measly €25 token, which can only be bet on games with odds up to 3.0. The maximum cash out limit for the token is 5x.
License
The lack of regulation over the casino is probably the biggest reason why we would recommend checking out other houses. It has nothing to say about who runs it, or from where. This means that you cannot expect a series of protections which houses are generally able to provide you.
The specific guarantees a house offers its players vary based on where said house is regulated. However, there are some similarities between the different regulatory regimes which are most popular with casino operators, and so, here is what licensed houses are generally able to offer you in terms of protections:
- A licensed house is required to encrypt player data using some of the toughest security protocols. That is crucial, since casinos nowadays tend to process a lot of sensitive information that their players need to submit, like, for instance, details about who they are and where they live. As important as it is to have such KYC checks in place in order to prevent money laundering, it is also important to know all of that personal info will not leak, as that can cause you a lot of harm. This is precisely what regulation ensures.
- Next, licensed houses are to take problem gambling seriously and offer players a series of measures they can opt in to in order to reduce their exposure to the casino. These include time out warnings, setting custom deposit limits and even the ability to close down one's account if they feel the need to. Aside from these comprehensive policies, responsible gambling requirements also mandate that players have access to sufficient information on what problem gambling looks like, and where to seek help for it, should they feel like they have developed such tendencies.
- Thirdly, how can you know whether the games with house are legitimate or whether there is any bias within them? With licensed houses, making sure that there is no such bias is guaranteed by the fact that license holders need to submit their titles for audits. These audits are performed on the random number generators used within each game, in order to dictate whether you've lost or won a bet. Any unfair generator can be found out and corrected accordingly, which means that playing with a licensed house means playing actual games of chance.
You can see why we find licensed houses to be a lot better than their counterparts. However, let's get back to Winolot. Its website is available in a number of languages, which is good, because it makes browsing it easier for players from around the globe. Here is a list of these languages:
Languages: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish
And here is a list of the jurisdictions from where you will not be able to make an account with the casino, as per their regulatory approach to online gambling:
Restricted countries: American Samoa, United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Virgin Islands, U.S.
Deposit and Withdrawal
On its website, the casino advertises a lot of deposit methods including credit cards, crypto and localized payment solutions like Interac and iDeal. However, in actuality, there are just two means of deposit you can use, and just a couple of FIAT and cryptocurrencies that Winolot accepts. Here is an outline of that:
Deposit method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Credit/Debit Card | €10 | €2500 | Instant | Free |
Crypto | €20 | €10000 | Instant | Free |
Currencies: Australian Dollar (AUD), Euro (EUR), Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC)
This is an incredibly lackluster deposit policy, and we tend to see houses offer players much more choice in terms of how they wish to deposit. Still, at least the actual conditions are not terrible. There is a low minimum of just €10 for credit cards, and €20 for crypto. Both of these are fair enough amounts.
The casino does not have deposit fees, but you should know that cashing in can incur third party fees from either your payment provider or crypto miners. It will be up to the player to cover those fees, so keep that in mind.
Let's take a look at the withdrawal conditions now:
Withdrawal method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Credit/Debit Card | Unspecified | Unspecified | Unspecified | 8% Fee Possible! |
Crypto | Unspecified | Unspecified | Unspecified | 8% Fee Possible! |
There is just no information about them, anywhere in the Terms and Conditions of the casino. Furthermore, its withdrawals page is not accessible before you make a deposit, which is unacceptable. You should be able to know exactly what you are getting into and what the minimum amount you can cash out is, before you cash in! Otherwise, you might be unpleasantly surprised.
Being surprised in such a way seems doubly possible when one considers the following set of clauses with the casino:
The first among them outlines a withdrawal fee of 8% you owe on withdrawals, if you have previously placed a withdrawal within the same month. That is completely unjustifiable, and we cannot see why the house charges such a fee.
The second paragraph outlines a requirement to wager your deposits at least five times before cashing out, or face another 8% fee. This policy is standard and it helps fight money laundering, but most casinos don't require you to play though your funds more than three times.
Finally, take a look at what the inactive account policy of the house is:
If the player does not log in to their account for six consecutive month, the casino will confiscate their account balance. Needless to say, this is completely unreasonable, too.
Games and Game Suppliers
Here's a list of the Game Suppliers we saw featured within Winolot's library:
Game providers: PragmaticPlay, Betsoft, Skywind, Tom Horn, Evolution, Booongo, Quickspin, Stakelogic, Inbet Virtuals, Lightning Box, Fugaso, Yggdrasil, PGSoft, Microgaming, Wazdan, Play'n GO, Gong Gaming Technologies, Endorphina, Crazy Tooth Studio, Foxium, Playson, Slingshot, Elysium Studios, Push Gaming, Gold Coin Studios, 2BY2 Gaming, Thunderkick, all41studios, Leap-Gaming, RubyPlay, Merkur, Just For The Win, GameArt, Habanero, Hacksaw, Gamzix, Switch Studios, Rabat, Golden Rock Studios, Northern Lights, Snowborn, Iron Dog Studio, Triple Edge Solution, Ggames, Relax Gaming, Felix Gaming, Mascot, Booming Games, 1x2gaming, Spinomenal, BGaming, Fazi, Swintt, OneTouch, Amigo Gaming, Smartsoft Gaming
This is a good amount of them, over 50 in total. In general, we expect no less from any newly launched house. Here is what you can play:
Slots: The collection of slots is quite vibrant, and includes many classics like Gates of Olympus, Big Bass Bonanza, Money Train 2, Book of Dead, Wolf's Gold and many more. There are separate sections for the New and Popular Slots with the casino, which we really like, because it enables you to navigate its games easier.
Table Games: The house features live and virtual dealer versions of classic games like Baccarat, Poker, Blackjack and Roulettes. Its roster of them is quite vast, and we are happy to see them here, because no casino would be complete without such experiences.
Game Shows: Since Winolot partners with Evolution Gaming, the house features some of the best Game Shows out there, like Funky Time, Crazy Time, Gonzo's Treasure Hunt, Crazy Coin Flip and many others, which you can find from the Live Casino section of its website.
As far as Sports betting is concerned, Winolot features a pretty deep Sportsbook, which supports live and prematch betting on hundreds of events. From Football to Lacrosse, there's something for everyone there. Virtual Football and eSports are available too!
Conclusion
Winolot is a pretty lackluster casino. We will not be recommending it, because of its various problems. Chief among them is how miserable cashing out from the house will feel, and even if it fixed the issues with its lack of regulation and how underwhelming its sports bonuses are, the withdrawals policy is such a fundamental issue that we would still recommend avoiding Winolot and sticking to another casino which actually respects its players!
