Top1aud
Table of contents
Top1aud is a new online casino which has recently launched. It seems targeted at Aussie players in particular, which is evident from its name. Additionally, the only account currency is the Australian Dollar. However, it has such a vide amount of issues that we struggle to even recount all of them. For instance, the house is not licensed at all. Furthermore, it features none of its legal documentation. Without Terms and Conditions, there's a lot of information missing about what the payment policies of the casino are.
And, speaking of payments, there's an exceptionally limited amount of options when it comes to cashing in! In fact, there's only one option – bank transfers. Withdrawals are a complete mystery without any of the policies of the house laid out, too. We know that the minimum you can cash out is too high, but that's all.
Finally, the games you can play are comparatively few. The Suppliers that Top1aud mainly features are also smaller and unknown developers, who cannot seem to provide the quality and games you might be used to. So if you want to play your favorite pokies, we believe there are far better options out there! However, if you are curious about what playing here can look like, just check out the full review of it we have prepared:
Bonuses
The only feature of the casino which can be said to be interesting is the insane amount of bonuses it offers. However, we would actually argue that these promotions are pretty unappealing. In fact, we believe that Top1aud has prioritized quantity over quality when making them. As a result, there is an overwhelming system of promotions with different and inconsistent conditions. Here is that messy system outlined:
Bonus | Min deposit | Max bonus | Wagering requirements | Cash out limit |
New member Bonus | - | 30 AUD | 10x | 20 AUD |
Happy new Year bonus | - | 19 AUD | - | 20 AUD |
Welcome Bonuses | 30 AUD | 70% up to 188 AUD | 3x | Unspecified |
Daily Chips | 20 AUD | 5 AUD | 40x | 20 AUD |
Daily Check In Free | 30 AUD | 8 AUD | 3x | Unspecified |
Daily First Deposit | 50 AUD | 30% | 3x | 188 AUD |
Unlimited Slot Bonus | 20 AUD | 10% up to 188 AUD | 2x | Unspecified |
Win Bonus | 30 AUD | 3% | 3x | 888 AUD |
Daily VIP Level | 90 AUD | 117 AUD | 3x | 888 AUD |
Weekly VIP Level | 1000 AUD | 900 AUD | 5x | 1000 AUD |
Commission Bonus | - | 5% | - | - |
There are so many different promotions that we believe we should separate them into several groups. First, there are the No Deposit Bonuses. Secondly, there are the Welcome Bonuses, and thirdly, the casino offers Recurring promotions. Let's take a look at each of these promotions, one by one:
Top1aud No Deposit Bonuses
It is here, that we should mention two promotions:
- The New Member Bonus gives you 30 AUD to spend on Slot games. You just need to make an account to get the promotion. The money from it can be cashed out, up to 20 AUD. However, you need to clear the wagering requirement of the bonus to do so. A wagering requirement denotes an amount of times you need to play through a promotion, in order to be able to cash it out. Such requirements are usually 30x to 40x for regular bonuses which require deposits, and higher for ones like this promotion. So, we can say that the promotion is fair enough! We wouldn't want to complain about the cash out limit either. It is set to a lower amount than the full size of the bonus, but given the fact you don't have to deposit to cash it out, that's fair enough!
- Then, there's the Happy new year bonus. It is another no deposit bonus, of 18.88 AUD, which can be claimed once your account balance is 0.1 AUD or less. It has a more specific wagering requirement, that your account balance needs to be 888 AUD to cash out the cash from the bonus. That comes out to about 47x, which is still fair enough, considering the lack of deposit requirements. The casino out limit is set to 20 AUD, once again!
Top1aud Welcome Bonuses
Welcome bonuses are a staple of online casino. They are usually among the most rewarding promotions within the catalog of each house. How does Top1aud implement such important promotions? In our view, pretty poorly. It features three underwhelming Welcome bonuses:
- The First Deposit Bonus requires you to deposit 30 AUD or more to obtain. In general, we tend to see casinos ask for about 20 AUD for their promotions. Aside from that, the promotion adds 50% of said deposit to your account's balance, up to 188 AUD. That's not a spectacular promotion, but the wagering requirement for it is just 3x, way lower than most houses. No mention is made of a cash out limit. In fact, none of these Welcome bonuses seem to have such limits, but we would have liked to have that explicitly confirmed by the casino!
- Then, we should mention the Second Deposit Bonus. It has pretty similar conditions – the same minimum deposit amount, as well as an identical wagering requriement. However, the promotion adds just 30% of the deposited funds as a bonus, up to the same maximum. That makes it pretty underwhelming for a welcome offer!
- Finally, the Third Deposit Bonus rounds out the entire promotion with a 70% boost for your qualifying deposit. But the minimum you are required to cash in here is way too high! It has been set to 100 AUD. At the same time, the maximum bonus amount is the same, so we cannot say that the promotion is aimed at high rollers or anything. At least the low 3x wagering requirement is still applicable.
Top1aud Recurring promotions
If you think the previous bonuses are already quite a bit, then read on! The true complexity of all of these promotions is found in the Recurring bonuses the casino issues:
- The Daily Chips Bonus requires you to cash in 20 AUD to receive a 5 AUD chip for the next three days. This is a fairly straightforward promotion. Still, we don't like that there's a 40x wagering requirement as well as a 20 AUD cash out limit on each of the chips. The limit is too low for the amount of times you need to play through the bonus to cash it out.
- The confusingly named Daily Check-in Free Bonus is not free! It requires you to cash in 30 AUD to obtain. What can you get out of that promotion? 8 AUD, which you need to wager 3x to cash out. There's no mention of a cash out limit.
- Another daily bonus is the Daily First Deposit promotion. It gives you 30% of your initial deposit for the day, as long as that deposit is at least 50 AUD. We consider such a requirement to be too high. The maximum bonus is 188 AUD, and the cash out limit is 3x.
- Slot game lovers can get the Unlimited Slot bonus, which adds either 10% or 15% of their deposits to their account balance. The casino does not make it clear what the amount is, and uses the two percentages interchangeably in the Terms of the bonus. The maximum you can get from each instance of the bonus is 188 AUD. Each said instance needs to be wagered 2x to cash out. Needless to say, you can get the promotion an indefinite amount of times. It is therefore probably the best recurring bonus Top1aud has to offer!
- If the casino did not have enough confusing promotions, the Win Bonus adds 3% of the winnings you realize. The issue with the promotion is that it seems that the winnings need to be over 1000 AUD to claim the bonus. However, the description it has does not actually make it clear whether there is or is not such a requriement. The bonus has a 30 AUD minimum deposit you need to perform to claim it. The cash out limit for the promotion is set to 888 AUD, and there's a 3x wagering requirement, too.
- The Daily VIP Level is an incredibly underwhelming set of bonuses. They scale with the amount of deposits you have made throughout the day. There are three tiers of the bonus – Silver, which demands you cans in 30 AUD or more 3 times (90 AUD). The Gold tier requires six deposits of the same amount (180 AUD), and the Platinum tier can be reached after depositing 30 AUD or more 13 times (390 AUD)! What can you get from these demanding bonuses? Three flat sums of money – 8.88 AUD, 18.88 AUD and 38.88 AUD. All of them are less rewarding than what you would get out of the Unlimited Slot bonus! There's also a 3x wagering requirement on the promotions, but at least the maximum cash out of 888 AUD is fairly high.
- There is another, similarly underwhelming bonus, called the Weekly VIP Level. It has six tiers, each requiring an absurd amount of money to be cashed in to the casino. The lowest tier is unlocked with a weekly deposit total of 1000 AUD, and the highest – with a total of 8000 AUD. So what can you get from these bonuses? Between 68.88 and 300 AUD. This is exceptionally low. The wagering requirement is 5x for the first three tiers of the bonus and 3x for the higher three. And each of the promotions has a max cash out limit of 1000 AUD, too. This means the highest bonus is not actually all that rewarding. This is definitely not a competitive, nor a compelling VIP bonus structure!
- Finally, there is the Commission Bonus. Supposedly, you can earn a 5% commission from the gaming activity of people who use your referral code to sign up. The issue here is that there's no mention where the money will be coming from. Is it going to be awarded to you from their losses or winnings? What is the maximum you can get and whether you need to wager the funds to cash out is not made clear either. This is definitely the vaguest bonus of the casino overall.
License
Regulation is incredibly important, and something you ought seek out in any online casino you play with these days. However, we cannot say that Top1aud meets our expectations in terms of it. The casino does not mention where it is operated from, or by who. While we don't think the house is illegitimate, or up to anything bad, just because it lacks a license, it does mean that the protections you can expect while playing there are actually less than what a regulated casino has to offer.
These protections vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, but here is what most regulators focus on, broadly speaking:
- Responsible gambling options: Regulators make sure casinos offer you ways to gamble safely and responsibly. Aside from offering you resources on what problem gambling can look like and where to seek help, there are also usually self-exclusion options. These mean that the house allows you to enable time outs, set custom limits on deposits and so on, to take control of your spending. There is usually the option to even close down your account, should you need to.
- Data protections: Playing in any online casino means sharing a lot of personal information. From your name, phone number and address, to all sorts of info about your payment methods. All of this is protected if you play with regulated houses. Strict encryption protocols are used to make sure your data does not fall into the hands of hackers!
- Certifiably fair games: The games you can play in each online casino have complex mathematical algorithms which dictate the outcomes of every game. With licensed casinos, you can be certain that these algorithms, also called random number generators, have undergone extensive audits. These audits make sure there's no bias within each game's outcomes! That's something which Top1aud cannot guarantee you, especially since it features the games of some pretty small and unfamiliar Suppliers.
The list of protections you can get if you play with a licensed house does not end here, but we believe our point is clear. We recommend sticking with them over houses with Top1aud. Let's get back to our coverage of the casino at hand, though. Here's a list of the languages you can view its website in and the countries from where signing up is not allowed:
Languages: Chinese, English
Restricted countries: American Samoa, United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Virgin Islands, U.S.
Deposit and Withdrawal
As we said at the start of our review, the casino only supports bank deposits. Let's take a look at what the conditions around them are:
Deposit method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Bank | 20 AUD | Unspecified | Unspecified | Unspecified |
Currencies: Australian Dollar (AUD)
Cashing in and out of the house is a pretty annoying affair overall. Since you can only use a Bank transfer, if you don't have an Australian bank account, that means you have to perform an international wire transfer. These are way slower and have third party fees which reach into 30 AUD or more. Of course, you will have to cover these fees. So, players outside of Australia should think twice about depositing here.
Of course, if you do have an Australian bank account, you will still have to deal with such third party charges.
The process times for deposits aren't mentioned here, and neither is whether the house charges any fees for processing said deposits. We expect them to be cleared instantly, and free, but without the Terms and Conditions of the casino, there's just no way to know. Pretty much the only thing we know is that the minimum deposit is 20 AUD, which is not bad. Of course, we think the lack of clearly defined deposit conditions is a major flaw.
Let's take a look at the withdrawal conditions as well:
Withdrawal method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Bank | 50 AUD | Unspecified | Unspecified | Unspecified |
Here, we are also sure only about the minimum. This time, it is set to 50 AUD, a far less competitive amount which we cannot get behind. Once more, there's no info about possible withdrawal charges, but we don't expect them to be present. The processing times are longer for bank transfers and there's no mention how long Top1aud takes to approve your withdrawal request. So who knows how much you'll have to wait around to cash out!
There is also no way to know whether you'll have to wager your deposited funds a specific amount of times to be able to withdraw. This is a fairly common AML policy, but without Terms and Conditions we cannot be sure this house has implemented it. The same is true about inactivity fees – they are fairly common, but its up to anyone's guess whether Top1aud has them!
Games and Game Suppliers
Here is a list of the notable Game Suppliers with the house:
Game providers: Dragon Gaming, Funky Games, Playtech, CQ Gaming, KA Gaming, Spade Gaming, Other
Overall, there are less than 30 Suppliers with the house in total, which is less than what we expect. And since like major developers like NetEnt and Pragmatic Play are nowhere to be seen in this shallow library, most of the best games casinos offer these days will not be available. Let's take a look at what Top1aud has to offer nonetheless:
Slots: If you are looking for Big Bass Bonanza, Book of Dead, Wolf's Gold or any other popular Slot, you won't find them here. Instead, you can play games like Monsters Go Shopping, Crazy Penguin and Toy Soldier. Of course, there's no way to filter out the slots, except by their Supplier which makes browsing them even more of a chore!
Table Games: There is a Live games section of the casino, but we cannot say what it contains, because the link leading there seems broken. We expect that it contains live dealer versions of classic casino games like Baccarat, Poker, Blackjack, Roulettes and Craps, but we cannot be sure! Similarly, it's possible that there are Game Shows but we cannot confirm that without access to the catalog of Live games.
Sports: Supposedly, Top1aud also has a sportsbook, but it is also not accessible. Hopefully, there is a good range of markets to bet on and not just Football and Basketball!
Conclusion
We cannot find a single reason to recommend the casino. The biggest issue is definitely the lack of regulation and any legal documentation. But even if that was to be fixed, the house would still lack a decent games library. And even if its bonuses were not confusing and overwhelming, they could not save the casino either!
