Slotsvil, a recently launched online casino and sportsbook, truly has a ton of issues! For instance, making an account was easy enough, but depositing – not so much. The cashier screen of the casino's website is just not functional at all! There was no indication that the casino needed us to verify our account before we could cash in, which would generally be reasonable. Instead, it just prevented us from doing so altogether. So it seems like a technical issue.
Of course, there were more technical issues we encountered. One of the most peculiar ones had to do with the pages of the website, dedicated to each bonus. There's a peculiar bug which displays a page with different bonus conditions. We are not sure how it triggers exactly, but it showed up several times while we were writing our review. These technical issues are pretty serious, but we would also argue that they are emblematic of a larger problem with the casino.
It is not only technically flawed, but offers a bad service, too. The main one among them is that the house has no license. This means it cannot guarantee you certain protections which you might have come to expect from casinos. There is also an issue with the conditions of the bonuses it has – aside from them not showing up properly. The withdrawal policies of the house are unclear, but what we know about them is fairly bad.
In fact, we feel like the casino and sportsbook is a pretty bad place to bet. However, we'd also like to explain why that is – take a look at the full review of the casino to find out more:
Bonuses
Here's a list of all the promotions with the casino:
Bonus | Min deposit | Max bonus | Wagering requirements | Cash out limit |
Welcome Package | $20 | 100% up to $1000 | 40x | 10x the bonus |
Tuesday Reload bonus | $20 | 50% up to $200 | 30x | 10x the bonus |
Monthly Reload | $20 | 50% up to $100 | 30x | 5x the bonus |
Monthly Free Spin reload | $20 | 100 spins | 40x | 5x the deposit |
Sports Welcome Bonus | $10 | 100% up to $100 | 12x | 10x the bonus |
Sports Reload Bonus | $20 | 50% up to $50 | 5x | 7x the bonus |
Sports Freebet | - | 20% up to $25 | Unspecified | Unspecified |
There are three Welcome bonuses, and once you're done with them, claiming further promotions is rarely going to be possible. Let's go over each of these different promotions, so that we can explain why they are so underwhelming:
First off, here's what the Welcome bonuses look like:
- The Casino Welcome Package is a pretty standard type of promotion. It contains four deposit bonuses which you can claim, one after the other. The maximum amount you can get out of them in total is $1000, with each of the promotion offering you different maximum amounts. The first bonus is of up to $200. The next two have maximums of $250 each. And the fourth deposit bonus has the highest amount – $300. The different promotions also add a different percentage of the deposit you've placed to your balance. This is 100% for the first and last of the bonuses. The second and third promotion only count 50% of their respective deposit for determining the size of the bonus you can get. There is a $20 minimum deposit requriement for the bonuses, which is great. To cash out the bonus and its winnings, you need to perform a wagering requirement. That's a fairly common condition nowadays. Most casinos require you to achieve a certain turnover – wager the bonus a specific amount of times, to be able to withdraw it. That is usually set to 30x-40x the size of the bonus. Here, the casino demands a turnover of 40x of both the deposit and the bonus. Effectively, this means you need to wager the first and fourth bonuses 80x, and the second and third promotions – 60x, which are both unacceptable amounts. There's also a cash out limit of 10x the issued bonus, which means no winnings over that will be credited to your account. Overall, we cannot see this bonus as fair, when it requires you to wager it twice as much as other casinos would.
- Secondly, the Slotsvil Sports Welcome Bonus is an alternative to the previous promotion. It adds 100% of your deposit to the balance of your account. The maximum amount here is way less generous – it is just $100. This is usually the case with sports bonuses, they tend to be smaller than their casino promotion counterparts. And what's even better is that the minimum deposit requirement is also smaller – just $10. The wagering requirement is also decently small. It was set to 12x. Usually, sports promotions have to be wagered between 5x and 10x. However, they come with certain restrictions on what the odds of the games you can bet on can be for the bet to count towards the requirement. This is not the case here. The 10x cash out limit is decent, and this promotion is much better than the previous one!
- Thirdly, the house also has a Sports Freebet bonus which is another Welcome promotion, usable in conjunction with any of the other two initial deposit incentives. What does it grant the player? Well, the bonus is triggered when you place your first bet in the casino's Sportsbook provided that the bet is for $10 or more, and that its odds are 1.80 or greater. Then, 20% of that bet, up to a maximum of $25 will be added to your account. What's special about Freebets is that casinos settle their bets from them instead of the players' funds. Only when the freebet sum is used, will the house start taking money from your deposits. There is no mention of how many times you need to play through the bonus to withdraw it, if any.
Now, here are the Recurring bonuses with the casino, which can claimed an indefinite amount of times:
- The Tuesday Reload Bonus is the bulk of the casino promotions you will be able to get from this house. It adds 50% of your deposited funds as bonus cash, up to a maximum of $100. This is not really all that substantial for a Weekly promotion. The minimum deposit is just $20, which is great. But there's the same issue with the wagering requirement, too. The casino requires you to play through the promotion and the deposit to clear said wagering requirement. The requriement is 30x. So, you need to wager the bonus 30x and 50% of the deposit amount 30x, which adds up to a wagering requirement of 45x the size of the bonus. While not as high as the previous example, this is still not acceptable. The cash out limit of 10x is decent enough, though.
- Then, there's the Monthly Reload Bonus. Once again, this is not a particularly generous bonus when one takes into account how rarely it is avaialble. Being able to get a 50% reload bonus once every month is not really exiting. Especially when the maximum bonus amount is $200. Also, the page of the bonus claims its maximum is both $100 and $200, so we are not sure what the truth is. Either way, the same issue is present with its 30x wagering requirement of the bonus and deposit amounts. In reality, this amounts to a 45x wagering requriement. Also, the cash out limit is much lower.
- Finally, the casino offers players a Monthly Free Spin reload. This is actually a set of three promotions, each granting you 10, 40 and 100 Spins, respectively. And each of the promotions has a minimum deposit requriement of a similar size. So, to claim them all, you need to cash in $20, $50 and $100. Each of the promotions can be claimed twice, for a total of 300 Free Spins, if you are willing to spend $340 on all of these bonuses. We will be honest – this promotion is very uncompetitive, and you can get more spins out of your deposits with the vast majority of casinos. At least the wagering requirement for the winnings from the Spins is calculated as only 40x the size of the deposit. There's a cash out limit of 5x the deposit size too.
- When it comes to Sports betting, there is just one recurring promotion available. This is the Sports Reload Bonus. Firstly, it has one positive feature – the low minimum deposit amount of $20 is great. But it's all downhill from here! The bonus adds 50% of the sum you cashed in up to $50. However, to claim it in the first place, you need to roll over your deposits 3x. This is a pre-emptive wagering requriement! Since the deposit is twice as high as the bonus, this is a 6x wagering requriement to clear, relative to the bonus size. And there is a real wagering requirement, too, of 12x the bonus amount you received. In total, you have to wager this promotion 18x to cash it out, which is not competitive for a Sports bonus at all! There's a 7x cash out limit too.
License
The most concerning aspect of this casino has to be the complete lack of regulation over it. The house does not even mention who runs it, or from where. Now, that does not really mean that it will act in bad fait towards players or prevent them from cashing out, per se. Instead, the issues lie with the lack of protections and guarantees which you would be able to find with regulated houses.
The specific protections which you will be entitle to are different between the different regulatory jurisdictions that the casino is licensed in. Most often, this jurisdiction is Curacao. But casinos can be licensed in Malta and the UK, too. Here are the regulatory protections you can generally expect from houses:
- Provably Fair Games: One of the rules that licensed casinos have to follow has to do with only providing games sourced from licensed Suppliers. And these Suppliers have to comply with strict testing requirements. They submit the code of the games they develop to professional auditors. These auditors are able to determine whether each game pays out as much as it is supposed to. This way, you can be sure you're playing actual games of chance!
- Data protection policies: The information you share with online casinos contains a lot of sensitive details about who you are, where you live and what you pay with. Of course, it is necessary for houses to store that info, in order to comply with the anti money-laundering guidelines and so on they are bound to. But it does mean that a potential data breach can be devastating. So, regulators require licensed casinos store all the information they receive from players with strict encryption.
- Responsible gambling options: Another major priority for regulatory bodies from all over the world is making sure that players have access to responsible gambling options. This means being able to receive sufficient information on what problem gambling is and where you could seek help for it. But it also means self-exclusion features will be available to you. For instance, you can place certain deposit limits on yourself, or even close down your account if you need to do so.
Overall, there are many great reasons to play in licensed casinos, and we cannot recommend you pick a house like this one over them. But still, let's get back to our review of Slotsvil. Here is a list of the languages that the casino's website is available in:
Languages: English, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Arabic
And here's a list with the countries from where it does not open accounts, due to regional restrictions.
Restricted countries: Netherlands, Show All, Afghanistan, American Samoa, Barbados, Belarus, Bermuda, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cayman Islands, China, Congo (Brazzaville), Cuba, Eritrea, France, French Guiana, French Polynesia, French Southern Lands, Haiti, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Korea, North, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Myanmar, Netherlands Antilles, Pakistan, Palestine, Qatar, Russian Federation, Saint Martin (French part), Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Venezuela, Virgin Islands, U.S., Western Sahara, Yemen, Zimbabwe
Deposit and Withdrawal
Cashing in and out of the casino is possible via a variety of payment methods. Or at least that's what Slotsvil claims – but, as we said, the deposits page is not really functional, at least at the time of writing. Still, let's take a look at the different payment methods listed, as well as the currencies the casino claims you can use to deposit:
Deposit method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Skrill | Unspecified | Unspecified | Instant | Free |
Neteller | Unspecified | Unspecified | Instant | Free |
Credit/Debit Card | Unspecified | Unspecified | Instant | Free |
MiFinity | Unspecified | Unspecified | Instant | Free |
Interac | Unspecified | Unspecified | Instant | Free |
Crypto | Unspecified | Unspecified | Instant | Free |
Currencies: Euro (EUR), US Dollar (USD), Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), Tether (USDT), XRP, Ethereum (ETH)
Normally, houses tend to outline their deposit policies in their Terms and Conditions too. But the legal documents with the casino are all too vague and useless. So, that's not the case here.
Either way, the minimum deposit requirement for one of the bonuses was $10. So, the minimum deposit is either that amount or lower – either of the two would be good. Most houses set their requirements between $10 and $20, so Slotsvil is competitive in this regard.
There are no fees for cashing in, but you will be liable for paying the third party charges, by the payment processors. Of course, that's something which the all of the casinos you can play in nowadays make you pay for, and that's fair. But these charges should be kept in mind!
Now, let's examine the withdrawal conditions of the casino as well:
Withdrawal method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Skrill | Unspecified | $5000 | Unspecified | Free |
Neteller | Unspecified | $5000 | Unspecified | Free |
Credit/Debit Card | Unspecified | $5000 | Unspecified | Free |
MiFinity | Unspecified | $5000 | Unspecified | Free |
Interac | Unspecified | $5000 | Unspecified | Free |
Crypto | Unspecified | $5000 | Unspecified | Free |
Once again, Slotvil gave us barely any information on what cashing out from it would look like. The Terms and Conditions did contain the following rollover clause, though:
It makes players wager their deposits five times before being able to withdraw. The penalty for not complying with this policy is a 6% withdrawal fee. The vast majority of casinos these days have similar clauses. They are a part of the anti-money laundering preventions they use. However, the amount of times you generally have to wager the money is just 1x to 3x. This means Slotsvil is excessive in this regard.
The minimum withdrawal amount is not mentioned in the Terms and Conditions. The maximum monthly amount you can cash out is set to $5000, which is a bit on the small side, though.
As for the processing times for withdrawals, those are not mentioned either. We just hope they are under three days. No mention is made of fees, but we don't expect the house to have any. Most casinos don't charge those. But you would generally be expected to cover any third party charges, just as with the deposits.
Games and Game Suppliers
The best aspect of the casino is the sheer range of games you can play, and sports events you can wager on. Before we go over them, though, take a look at the following clause from its Terms and Conditions:
This makes it impossible to win over $100 000 in total per day. Such clauses are not fair, because they go against the whole point of playing games of chance. In fact, we always consider them unfair, regardless of the size of the maximum win amount.
And it's even more of a shame that the casino has that restriction in place because it genuinely features a great list of Game suppliers. Take a look:
Game providers: Play'n GO, PragmaticPlay, BGaming, Spinomenal, Betsoft, Evolution, Red Tiger Gaming, NetEnt, Hacksaw, Gamomat, Relax Gaming, Wazdan, Novomatic, Playson, Bet2Tech, Booming Games, Evoplay, Nolimit City, Push Gaming, Felix Gaming, Yggdrasil, Endorphina, ELK, Skywind, Fazi, Microgaming, RubyPlay, GameArt, Tom Horn, Quickspin, Thunderkick, Habanero, Kalamba, Givme, Fugaso, Golden Hero, Mascot, Blueprint, 2BY2 Gaming, Big Time Gaming, Just For The Win, Crazy Tooth Studio, Snowborn, Golden Rock Studios, Foxium, Lightning Box, Leap-Gaming, Stakelogic, Eyecon, Smartsoft Gaming, all41studios, Triple Edge Solution, 1x2gaming, Iron Dog Studio, OneTouch, Booongo, Ggames, Atomic Slot Lab, Petersons, Inbet Virtuals, Slingshot, Northern Lights, Gold Coin Studios, Gong Gaming Technologies, Amigo Gaming, Swintt, PGSoft, Gamzix, Other
There are around 75 Suppliers, which is way over the 50 or so we expected to see. The house has tons of fun games as a result of that massive range of suppliers:
- Slots: Thousands of slots are available, but they are badly organized. You can filter the games alphabetically, or by their popularity. There are separate sections for Bonus By and for Jackpot slots. This is not enough to make for a good browsing experience of the slots library. Still, there are some great games to be found. Some of the more recognizable among them are Sweet Bonanza, Big Bass Bonanza, Book of Rebirth, Gates of Olympus Book of Dead, Wolf's Gold and more.
- Table Games: There are many classic table games you can play here. Among them are virtual and live dealer versions of Baccarat, Poker, Blackjack, Roulettes and Craps.
- Game Shows: The casino has a bunch of Game Shows in the live gaming section of its website too – among them are Funky Time, Crazy Time, Sidebet City, Crazy Coin Flip and more.
The Sportsbook is also very vibrant. It has thousands of events from all sorts of gambling markets. From Football and Basketball, to Badminton and Rowing, there is something for everyone to bet on – even eSports. Live betting is available too. You can even bet on virtual sports like virtual car and horse races if you feel like it.
Conclusion
Overall, Slotsvil is a pretty terrible casino. We are not fond of lack of license at all! And we would not feel comfortable playing there, even if it its cashier screen did work. This is on account not only the lack of regulation, but also the lack of a clear outline of what the withdrawal conditions look like. Not to mention that the bonuses are very lackluster too.
All of that is a shame, because the games with the house are great. Still, with this casino having an unfair maximum win policy, playing them somewhere else is a much better idea! Check out the rest of our reviews for a better alternative to Slotsvil instead of wasting your time and money with it.
