SherBet seemed to be a promising casino at first glance. It seemed to have all the great features you would expect from a top casino, like an extensive catalog of games and a generous welcome bonus. However, once we delved a bit deeper into it, we discovered that the company was actually very underwhelming. It only had the welcome bonus, and did not seem able to open us an account. We filled out our information, but the sign-up button shows below simply did not work:
This can be some weird sort of technical issue, but it’s pretty unprofessional nonetheless. You don’t really want to deal with a house that is experiencing such issues! Despite its failure to open us an account, though, we were able to learn everything there is to know about this casino. The full review of it below will examine its flaws, as well as its strong suits in more detail:
There are only three bonuses that are available with the casino. These are all part of the welcome package. Here are the specifics:
|Bonus||Min deposit||Max Bonus||Wagering requirement||Cash out limits|
|No Deposit Free Spins||$0||30 Free Spins||45x||$50 per Free Spin|
|First Time Deposit Bonus||$20||$500||45x||None|
|Rakeback||N/A||20% of daily losses||N/A||None|
The first of them, called the No Deposit Free Spins Bonus becomes available to players who sign up with SherBet and verify their email. This bonus gives them access to 30 free spins, but it is exceptionally limited. First off, you can only use the spins within the first 24 hours of verifying your account. Most houses give you a bit more time to enjoy them before they expire. Secondly, there is a cash out limit of $50 per spin. In total, this means there is a cash out limit of $1500 for the promotion – not a particularly high allowance.
Also, there is a high wager requirement on the bonus. It is of 45 times – that means you need to wager the free spins at leas that many times to get out the profits you can receive. Furthermore, even if you do so, the house still requires you to deposit $20 at the least if you want to cash them out. Its No deposit bonus requires a deposit after all, which is certainly interesting, but not really fair.
Next, there is a bonus called the First Time Deposit Bonus. As the name suggests, this is available the first time you cash in with the house. There is another issue with the bonus though – the company only issues it if you have deposited within the first 24 hours of making an account. Once again, this puts undue pressure on you. The minimum qualifying deposit is $20, and the maximum money you can cash out is $500. The same wager requirement is available here is as well. Normally, the wager requirements of respectable casinos are around 30x to 40x. This one oversteps these bounds! But while it could be excused to do so on a No Deposit bonus, it is unacceptable for the deposit bonuses issued to also have this turnover! There are no cash out limits at least.
The Rakeback is the final part of the welcome bonuses. It is only available for slots, which is worth keeping in mind. Rakebacks work in an interesting way. They calculate how much money you are wagering on a slot machine and give you a percent of that, without regard as to whether your bets were winning or losing. This percent is 20 with SherBet, but only for the first 24 hours after your account is made. Then it goes down to six. This is a reasonable policy, but there are casinos out there which have higher baseline rakebacks.
Since there are just these three bonuses available, and once they are used up the casino does not seem to offer anything extra, we can say that its deposit policies are hugely underwhelming.
The license of SherBet might be the best part about it. Here is what the firm has to say about its regulation:
It stats that it is licensed by Gaming Curacao. This is one of the four master license holders in the offshore republic of Curacao. The regulatory regime there is interesting – the government has delegated issuing licenses to these four companies. Each of them has a different set of rules for what casinos need to do to ensure two common goals. First off, the regulator wish to prevent financial crime – money laundering, identity theft and so on. Secondly, they want to ensure the companies are not manipulating their games to ensure negative outcomes for their players. This means that the random number generators of licensed firms can be trusted, and that they have AML and KYC policies. But how can you know whether a firm is actually licensed by Gaming Curacao? Well, real license holders have something called a “dynamic seal” on their websites. It looks like the logo of the regulator – clicking it leads you to a page like the one below:
This page is hosted on the website of the regulator, not the casino – meaning forging it is impossible. It states the licensing status of the firm in question. This particular one is licensed, and all seems to check out with it. That means you can trust it with your money. Always make sure you verify claims to regulation yourself, and don’t take anyone on their word that they are licensed!
Deposit and Withdrawal
The deposit and withdrawal policies of SherBet are very underwhelming. Here is what the methods of payment with the casino look like:
|Payment method||Min Deposit||Min Withdrawal||Deposit Processing time||Withdrawal Processing time||Fees|
|Credit cards||Not specified||Not specified||Within 24 hours||Not specified||No fees by the casino|
|Bitcoin||Not specified||Not specified||Within 24 hours||Not specified||No fees by the casino|
|Ethereum||Not specified||Not specified||Within 24 hours||Not specified||No fees by the casino|
|Doge||Not specified||Not specified||Within 24 hours||Not specified||No fees by the casino|
|Tether||Not specified||Not specified||Within 24 hours||Not specified||No fees by the casino|
|BUSD||Not specified||Not specified||Within 24 hours||Not specified||No fees by the casino|
|SOL||Not specified||Not specified||Within 24 hours||Not specified||No fees by the casino|
|XRP||Not specified||Not specified||Within 24 hours||Not specified||No fees by the casino|
|BNB||Not specified||Not specified||Within 24 hours||Not specified||No fees by the casino|
|USDC||Not specified||Not specified||Within 24 hours||Not specified||No fees by the casino|
|Litecoin||Not specified||Not specified||Within 24 hours||Not specified||No fees by the casino|
As you can see, it only accepts payments via credit cards and crypto. Now, these two are among the most commonly used methods of payment. But some countries have restrictions on credit cards – players in the UK are not allowed to deposit with them. And crypto can be difficult to deal with, if you don’t know how. This is exactly why respectable casinos simply don’t limit their players to so few payment methods. They also take e-wallets, wire transfers, e-vouches and so on. Regardless, the lack of options is just one of the several issues at play here.
More important is the lack of information in the legal documents of the company on many important aspects of its service. For instance, we have no idea what the minimum deposit with it is. We can assume it to be something around $20. That is for two reasons. Firstly, that is about as much as the industry usually places such requirements at. Secondly and more importantly, though, that is actually the entry cost to make use of one of the underwhelming bonuses.
However, there is absolutely no way for us to know what the minimum withdrawal requirements and the processing times for cashing out is. These are strictly specific to each different house. There is simply no way we can wager what they look like with this one. We can guess how long it takes to deposit – it should not be more than a day, given the accepted payment methods. At least there are no fees, for deposits or withdrawals – the one silver lining with the otherwise massively disappointing conditions of the house.
Games and Game Suppliers
SherBet does a lot right when it comes to its games, and the way the player will experience them. First off, we should mention the social aspects of gaming with this casino. There is a live chat, which can be used to communicate with fellow players, or to ask moderators questions and receive answers in real time. This is both fun and useful.
The games are structured in two categories – Casino games and Sports games. You can also access an NFT marketplace and stake crypto there, but this is not really any kind of betting, at least not in the traditional sense of the word.
The Casino games section contains titles from top providers like Endorphina, Play n’ Go and NoLimit City. There are slots, among which are classics like Big Bass Bonanza, Book of Shadows and Rise of Merlin. Fans of table games will have access to many such titles – for instance, they will be able to play BlackJack, Roulettes and Baccarat. Each of these is separated in its own category, because the casino offers so many such games. Next, you will be able to play many live games. Some of them are live versions of the table games we mentioned already, and some of them are more niche, like Coin Flip. There are also some game shows you can take part of – like for instance Gonzo’s Treasure Hunt.
The Sports section of the house allows you to bet on many events. Traditional sports like Baseball, Basketball and Football are available, as well as esports. Live bets can be done on a number of these as well. The fan of sports betting will be able to enjoy a lot of options with the company.
Overall, with all of its aspects considered, we would not be recommending SherBet. Not only does it seem unable to open an account for us, it does not have interesting bonuses, nor does it offer a competitive withdrawal and deposit policy. Ultimately, the casino’s services are not worth it, despite the many and excellent games it has to offer.
