OdiBets
Table of contents
OdiBets is a Kenyan casino, which offers both e-gaming and sports betting. However, with the abundance of competitive casinos online, is OdiBets really the best place to play? Despite its regulation and fair payment policies, we are inclined to say no. That is because these are the two baseline features of what we would consider to be an acceptable casino. Not to mention that other features which you would think are also basic, like having a working website, seem to be beyond this house! It's whole website was designed to be viewed on mobile phones, and is a hassle to browse on a PC. Also, there are some pretty concerning technical issues with the firm, which seem to lead it to show the following error message when one attempts to make an account:
But these technical issues can be fixed rather easily. While still concerning, they can be looked over. What cannot be ignored, though, is the lack of attractive bonuses, nor the very limited range of payment methods OdiBets has available. Not to mention the fact there is barely anything to play at all with it! Every one of these issues is examined in more detail in the review below – check it out before depositing with the casino:

The bonuses OdiBets offers can be divided in two categories. There are Casino Bonuses and there are ones which are available for Sports betting. Let's take a look at each of these categories separately:
Casino Bonuses
Starting off with the First Deposit Bonus, this is a promotion which will apply once, if you deposit over 100 KES. This is a pretty low entry cost requirement, and is quite competitive. Your money will be matched, up to 10 000 KES, which you can use to place some higher wagers. Of course, speaking of wagering, there is a requirement to achieve a turnover of 25x the deposit and the bonus, in order to withdraw your winnings. These requirements are common in the industry. Most casinos even have them set at higher amounts. It is not unusual for wagering requirements to reach into the range of 30x – 40x. That means OdiBets has some decent conditions to this bonus, and there are not cash-out limits either. However, we wish there were more deposit bonuses available – this is the only one the casino offers.
Next, there is a 10% Daily Cashback Bonus, which is available every weekend. This bonus requires your account's balance to be on a net loss, and one of at least 100 KES at that. If that condition is met, you will be able to get 10% of your losses per day back. The maximum you can recover that way is 5 000 KES. These are some generous requirements, which are also found with other casinos which have similar bonuses. The maximum you can get is pretty generous as well. What's even better is the lack of wagering requirement for the money you recover – it needs to be turned over just once to withdraw it. Once again, that is more client-friendly than what most companies have to offer.
Thirdly, you can get a rather substantial bonus for introducing other people to the casino via the Refer a Friend Bonus. This bonus does not necessarily require you to have deposited with the casino, or made any wager. However, the friend you introduce needs to have made wagers of at least 6 000 KES for the bonus to be applied. Each account that uses your referral link and meets this requirement will result in a 1 000 KES credit to your own. You can introduce up to 5 people to the casino that way – and so, you can get up to 5 000 KES, if they all make qualifying wagers. The money will be paid out to you in full, and does not have any wagering requirements to it, or cash out limits.
Last, there seem to be ongoing Tournamets – how these work is that the casino selects several games and puts them in a bracket. The people who wager the most on the titles in the bracket can get some cash bonuses. The maximum that will be handed out will be the impressive sum of 600 000 KES, which will come with no strings attached.
Let's now take a look at the other category of bonus that OdiBets has:
Sports Bonuses
These promotions are not really as thoroughly described as the other ones – we actually found them to be barely mentioned in the Terms and Conditions of the casino. Nevertheless, we have managed to gather some information on them. Starting with the 30% Cashback Bonus, we discovered it applies to multibets made with the sportsbook of the casino. Only matches that are played count towards the promotion, which will give you 30% of your losses back if you have a stroke of bad luck. What's more, there don't seem to be any kind of wagering requirement or limit on how much you can cash out – but that could be due to the conditions being vague. The casino also claims the maximum amount of money you can get that way is 1 000 000 KES. That seems way too high, especially since there is another cashback bonus it runs with a way lower maximum allowance.
Secondly, there is a bonus available for players who use an Android app the casino offers for sports betting. If they place a wager of at least 30 KES, they will get a 50 KES reward, up to once weekly. This needs to be bet on a single game with odds of at least 5, according to the Terms and Conditions of the casino. That is quite the good promotion, and it resembles a Freebet bonus. There are no cashout limits.
Last, there is a pretty exciting bonus for fans of multibetting. If they place five wagers of at least 50 KES, they qualify for the Supa 5 Bonus. This promotion can also be claimed once weekly and has the same redemption requirements. There are no limits on profits with it either.
License
Being a licensed casino is the only way for a company to guarantee that it is legitimate. Here is what OdiBets has to say about its regulation:
It claims to be licensed by the Kenyan BCLB. Of course, we headed on over to the website of that regulatory body to check:
As it turns out, the claim is true. Kenya is not a traditional destination for online casinos, but its regulatory regime is still more than enough to ensure that the money you deposit with OdiBets is safe. There are specific rules on what the casino can and cannot do, which ensure it is operating in good faith towards it clients, and not tipping the scales on its games. Offshore casinos can sometimes ensure unfortunate outcomes for bets by messing with the random number generators of the games they have, but that cannot be the case with licensed companies. There are also strict rules which the BCLB has, designed to prevent money-laundering, the financing of terrorism and other dangerous financial crime. For instance, deposits are only accepted from verified accounts and their source needs to be verified.

Deposit and Withdrawal
One of the worst aspects of this casino is how restrictive its deposits policy is – it only has one payment method available:
As the screenshot shows, MPesa is the only way you can deposit with OdiBets. Here is everything you need to know about the specifics of these deposits:
Deposit method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Unspecified | $1 | Unspecified | up to 24 hours | Free |
Withdrawal method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Unspecified | $1 | Unspecified | Unspecified | Free |
Currencies: US Dollar (USD)
Now, MPesa is one of the dominant Kenyan methods of deposit, but it is far from the only one. Since credit cards, wire transfers and even other e-wallets like Neteller and Skrill are also commonplace, we feel like OdiBets should have a lot more variety in what it accepts. Most of its competition does, which makes the house a bit uncompetitive.
Regardless, there is a pretty appealing minimum deposit requirement, which is under the $10 to $20 most casinos have to offer. There is no mention of the minimum withdrawal, nor the processing times for such transactions. Deposits should take no more than a day to clear though – and in the vast number of cases, they are most likely instant, because MPesa is a pretty good e-wallet.
There are normally no fees that are applicable on either deposit or withdrawals. However, there is a penalty for clients who have not achieved a 1x turnover of their deposits. OdiBets does not mention the size of this penalizing fee. Such charges are common – in fact, casinos often have them even higher, up to 3x. What is concerning is the uncertainty about what you would be charged.
Dormant account fees of 5% are applicable to accounts which have been inactive for over 12 months. This is a bit of a high fee for inactivity, compared to other casinos which charge flat amounts.
Games and Game Suppliers
The games library with OdiBets is pretty pitiful. The game suppliers it partners with are generally not listed so we have no clue how many of them there even are. Only 3 are mentioned, the suppliers listed below:
Game providers: PragmaticPlay, 7Mojos, Ezugi
These are pretty big names, but it is possible that the casino only has their titles. We doubt it has over 500 games in total. Regardless, these games include slots: Spirit of Egypt Hold and win, Sevens & Fruits, Burning Wins, 20 Hot Twist, Fruits & Jokers 20 lines and others. Table games are also available, with several Roulettes, various Poker tables, Baccarat and Blackjack. Arcade games like Aviator, Plinko, Minesweeper and so on can be played. Fans of live gaming will find different tables for Poker and Roulettes, Game shows like Crazy Time, Baccarat and Blackjack. You can also bet on Wingo – a mix between traditional Bingo and Powerball.
The Sports book with with OdiBets is also disappointing. Sure, you can bet on major league events in Football, Cricket, Baseball and so on. Some eSports are also available, but there is not much beyond that. Live bets available for Football, Basketball and Tennis. Dog race betting can be found on the website of the casino too – but no horse or car races of any kind are avaialble.
Conclusion
To sum everything up, this particular casino has some irredeemable problems. There is no way we can recommend it, despite its low minimum deposit and license. There are just way better options out there, both in terms of games available and bonuses!
