New Crypto Payment Service Launches in Nigeria
In Nigeria a social payment app has just launched. Bundle is Africa's newest cryptocurrency and fiat transactions facilitating service, founded by Yele Bademosi, whose goal is to popularise crypto currency across the continent,
“We built Bundle with the digitally native African user in mind…They are social, online, and connected across geographical boundaries. They prefer their financial services delivered digitally via mobile apps as opposed to visiting brick and mortar bank branches. We built Bundle as a mobile wallet that supports cash and crypto, and makes using crypto feel like just another digital financial transaction done on a mobile app”, Yele commented.
Before launching Bundle, Yele Bademosi was a director at Binance Labs, and thus his latest project is in many ways backed by the famous Binance crypto exchange firm, including being granted a $450k donation from Binance and various African investors.
Bundle will allow clients to sell, store and buy an array of digital currencies, of which are some of the most popular ones like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Binance coin. Furthermore, the platform will also support fiat currency and crypto conversions, plus the ability for direct fiat currencies deposits.
For now the platform supports only the Nigerian naira, however there are plans to greatly expand throughout the continent by offering more base currencies. Furthermore, the depositing methods that are supported are credit cards, bank transfers, and mobile money. The latter is a currency storing technique popular in Africa.
Cryptocurrency is on a steady rise everywhere, and we are just beginning to see its implementation in developing countries.
