If you are looking for a good casino where your money is going to be safe, and there will be guarantees that you will have a pleasant experience, Monkaji is not it. The company is not it either, if the casino you are looking for is one that has interesting bonuses, or a decent selection of games. In fact, the more we dug deeper into what the house offers, the more disappointed we were finding ourselves with it. So we cannot really recommend you to open an account with Monkaji, even though it has some decent features too, like a license. If you are interested in why that is, here is our detailed review:
Bonuses
Bonuses are the bread and butter of casinos nowadays. They are one of the main ways in which such companies manage to distinguish themselves from the stiff competition in the industry. Disappointingly enough, Monkaji only offers two bonuses. Here is what these look like:
Bonus | Min deposit | Max bonus | Wagering requirements | Cash out limit |
Monkaji Welcome Offer | $15 | 500 spins | 0x | None |
Cashback Bonus | - | 10% | 0x | None |
These are not really all that interesting either. There is simply not much you can do with them. Let's take the Monkaji Welcome Offer bonus for instance. If you deposit over C$15, you will have access to this promotion. It will award you Free spins, proportional to the deposit you have made. For each dollar you deposit, you will be awarded a Spin, up to 500 of them. These spins will be credited to your account in batches of a fifth of the total amount daily. Let's say you have deposited C$400, this means you will get 80 Free Spins each day. So far so good, these are some pretty standard conditions.
In fact, the lack of wagering requirement for the promotion is pretty good. Usually, houses demand you turn over the bonus 30 to 40 times before you can cash it out. But this is where the positive aspects of the promotion end. With Monkaji, there is just a restriction on how much you can profit in total – C$500. This is pretty stifling, and is a very low maximum. You also need to use up all the Spins you have got within a week of receiving them, or you will lose them. Also, there is another peculiar requirement. If you withdraw within this week, you will lose the spins as well. Worst of all, you can only use the promotion on one slot – Big Bass Bonanza. There is nothing wrong with the game, but usually houses give you a lot more choice on what to do with their bonuses. Overall, this bonus is not only very little and unsubstantial, but also restrictive. This makes it very uncompelling. The fact it is one of the two bonuses Monkaji has in total speaks pretty bad for the quality of the casino.
Speaking of the other bonus the casino offers, this is the Chargeback Bonus. It is a far better promotion than the welcome offer, but that is really not saying much, because the quality of the former bonus is so low. How does the chargeback work? Each week, 10% of your net losses will be credited back to your account. What makes the promotion interesting is that there is no wagering requirement on them, and Monkaji specifically mentions there is no cash-out limit either. However, to make use of the bonus, your account needs to be at a net loss. Otherwise, you will not have access to it. Nevertheless, we consider this to be a pretty good deal. We have seen many chargeback bonuses and most have the same requirement. Some even have a wagering requirement on top as well.
There is also a third promotion that you can access with the casino, but it is not offered by it. It seems that Monkaji is a participant in the Drops and Wins program that is run by Pragmatic Play. The game supplier hands out $1 million each month to lucky players who use its slots. The program is not exclusive to this casino. In fact, if you want to try winning something in it, we recommend doing so with another participating company. This one is just too shady to trust with your money. Here is why:
License
Monkaji claims to be licensed by Antillephone. This fact can be verified by clicking a seal in the bottom of the casino's website. This seal looks like the logo of the Antillephone, and brings us to the website of the regulatory body, where the following license can be seen:
As it is licensed, the casino cannot provide you with the guarantees you can expect from actual holders of Curacao licenses. The four bodies which oversee the e-gaming industry there, along which is the Antillephone, have all developed different frameworks to tackle two issues that are common with unregulated casinos. Firstly, these firms tend to manipulate the random number generators their games use. That can lead to unfair outcomes for their players. More concerningly, they engage in financial crime like money laundering and so on. That is why we can only recommend depositing with licensed firms that can provide you with the certainty you need to be able to relax and enjoy a nice and safe gaming experience.

Deposit and Withdrawal
There is a decent selection of deposit methods with the company. Here is how you can pay the casino:
Deposit method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Credit/Debit Card | 15 USDT | 5000 USDT | Instant | Free |
Jeton | 15 USDT | 5000 USDT | Instant | Free |
Bank | 15 USDT | 5000 USDT | up to 7 days | Free |
EcoPayz | 15 USDT | 5000 USDT | Instant | Free |
Crypto | 15 USDT | 5000 USDT | Instant | Free |
Withdrawal method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Credit/Debit Card | 15 USDT | Unspecified | Unspecified | Free |
Jeton | 15 USDT | Unspecified | Unspecified | Free |
Bank | 15 USDT | Unspecified | Unspecified | Free |
EcoPayz | 15 USDT | Unspecified | Unspecified | Free |
Crypto | 15 USDT | Unspecified | Unspecified | Free |
Currencies: Japanese Yen (JPY), US Dollar (USD), Canadian Dollar (CAD)
The main methods include credit card payments, wire transfers, e-wallets, vouchers and crypto. The e-wallets you can use include Jeton and EcoPayz. PayRedeem is the only e-voucher provider Monkaji partners with. The crypto assets you can use to deposit are Bitcoin, Ripple and Ethereum. It is weird that payments via Tether are not accepted. As far as the processing fees for these payments, they are free. The minimum deposit is decently low, at C$15, or its equivalent in the specific crypto asset you are paying with. Overall, this is a decent deposit policy.
When it comes to withdrawals, there are some pretty huge red flags. For instance, there is no information on how much the minimum withdrawal is. This could mean there is no requirement for a minimum withdrawal, but we doubt it. Another concerning lack of transparency comes from the fact the processing times for payments are not mentioned. And while we know how long it usually takes for them to clear on deposits, there is no way to know what the timeframes Monkaji has on the processing of withdrawals – this is different for every casino.
Finally, there is also a large fee that will apply to players who have not achieved a 1x turnover on their deposits. This kind of fee is common in the industry, and is usually up to 10-15%. With this casino, it stands at 30%! We are not opposed to the fee on principle, just this particular implementation of it seems to be excessively high.
Games and Game Suppliers
The game suppliers that Monkaji partners with include Pragmatic Play, Netent and Wizard games, as well as many other big names in the industry. Here is every one of the Game Suppliers the casino features:
Game providers: Playson, PragmaticPlay, Push Gaming, Red Tiger Gaming, Red Rake, Reevo, Retro Gaming, RubyPlay, Smartsoft Gaming, Spearhead, Spinomenal, Stakelogic, Swintt, Thunderkick, Wazdan, Wizard, Yggdrasil, 1x2gaming, Atomic Slot Lab, AvatarUX, Betsoft, Booming Games, Booongo, Evolution, Gamevy, Gamomat, Iron Dog Studio, Kalamba, NetEnt, OneTouch, Oryx, Play'n GO
You can play slots, as well as table games from them. The selection of slots includes recognizable names, like the aforementioned Big Bass Bonanza, as well as Starburst and Zoom. The table games you can play include Poker, Blackjack and Baccarat. Each of these is available live as well, with several game shows you can play to boot. There is Deal or no deal for instance, as well as several others. Despite having several live titles, the Slots catalog of the company is a lot more impressive.
Conclusion
Overall, there is no reason to really recommend this casino. Most aspects of it we covered lead to us feeling disappointed with the services that were offered. For instance, there was not enough variety with bonuses, and the withdrawal policies lacked clarity. There is just one redeemable thing about Monkaji, though. The casino is licensed as it claims to be. But regardless of that, we would not advise opening an account with it, and we would avoid the casino altogether.
