At first glance, MeokClub looks like a decent online casino. But closer inspection reveals many disappointing aspects.

MeokClub claims to be licensed, but we were unable to confirm this. The casino doesn't provide access to Terms and Conditions or other legal documentation, doesn't reveal which company is behind the website and where it is based. The bonuses and the loyalty program have unclear terms.

Although the website is only available in English and there are no registration restrictions, the only currency used is the Philippine peso, which is why the casino appears to be targeting only customers from the Philippines. The only payment method available is the Philippine GCash app.

It is possible that some of these shortcomings are a result of the website being recently operational and not finished. However, since MeokClub allows registration and playing, it is quite reasonable to expect full functionality.

Amid all this, we could not recommend this casino in good conscience. However, in this review we will detail the information available on MeokClub so that you can make an informed decision for yourself.

MeokClub BONUSES

It is common for online casinos to offer Welcome Bonuses to new customers. Sometimes these are No Deposit Bonuses, allowing the new player to fully experience the casino, but without immediately spending their own money. Almost all casinos offer deposit bonuses that increase the amount of the deposit by a certain percentage – often by 100%, 200% or even more. Often this type of bonus covers the first three or even five deposits from a new customer. Many casinos also include a certain number of free spins on slot games in the promotions.

MeokClub is quite behind in this respect. The casino offers a bonus of 55% for the first deposit, without any additional perks.

The minimum deposit required by the casino is 200 Philippine pesos, which is equivalent to about US$3.5. This is a pretty low threshold to enter – most online casinos require a minimum deposit of around $20. The maximum amount you can receive as a Welcome Bonus is 5,500 Philippine Pesos, which equates to around $100 – a rather modest amount.

MeokClub does not provide information on the other main parameters of the bonuses. Most casinos require you to wager 30 or 40 times the bonus amount before you can make a withdrawal. In some cases there are also restrictions on the maximum amount that can be won and withdrawn when using a bonus. We do not know what the MeokClub requirements are.

The casino also offers a modest bonus of 10% for every first deposit of the day. More established brands offer much more generous and varied bonuses and promotions. It is common for online casinos to organize weekly and monthly tournaments with large prize pools, but this is not the case for MeokClub.

This casino has its own loyalty program called VIP. Upgrades depend on the amount of deposits made. The only benefit of a higher account level is lower withdrawal fees and a higher number of withdrawals allowed per day. This is not particularly attractive, insofar as most MeokClub competitors do not charge withdrawal fees at all.

MeokClub also offers incentives to invite other players to the casino. If your invited customers are active, you earn a small commission on their bets. One registrant with your invite code earns you a bonus of 150 Philippine pesos, and if you manage to invite 1,000, the reward is 150,000 Philippine pesos, or over $2,600.

But we find it hard to imagine how you can attract so many people to an online casino that offers nothing to positively differentiate it from its competitors.

MeokClub LICENSE

While gambling is inherently about risk, it is not to be underestimated whether the casino you are using is licensed and subject to any regulatory controls. A licensed casino provides important guarantees of fairness and transparency that let you bet with confidence that nothing is playing against you except your luck.

One of the most important guarantees with licensed online casinos is that they use audited random number generators for all games. If you suspect that the outcome of the game is rigged, it will suck any enjoyment out of the game.

Regulatory oversight also assures you that your personal data is adequately protected by encryption, and that the casino complies with all laws against financial fraud and money laundering. It is equally important that regulators supervise whether the casino is fair and transparent in the transactions.

In the footer of the MeokClub website we see the logo of one of these master license holders – Gaming N.V. (365/JAZ).

Supposedly this logo must contain a link to the license of the specific casino. But in this case it doesn't. Therefore, we have no reason to believe that MeokClub actually holds such a certificate. As stated, the casino does not disclose the name of the owner company and does not provide access to Terms and Conditions.

It is not that uncommon for an online casino not to be licensed, but misleading or false information creates deep suspicions.

Due to the lack of documentation, it is unclear what regional restrictions are in place for MeokClub clients. If you have decided to use the services of such an offshore casino, you should check whether this is prohibited by the legislation of your country, as it is for example in the United States.

MeokClub Deposit and withdrawal

MeokClub allows you to deposit and withdraw funds into your account through a single payment provider – GCash. This is an application widely used in the Philippines but not elsewhere.

This is quite limiting. Most established brands offer a wide choice of payment methods, including bank transfer, credit/debit cards, popular e-wallets such as Skrill or Neteller, and cryptocurrencies.

It is also common for online casinos not to charge their own fees for deposits or withdrawals. But MeokClub charges a substantial 3% withdrawal fee for new customers. This fee can be reduced if you upgrade your account level in the casino's VIP program.

We have no idea if the casino has other withdrawal requirements because we do not have access to the Terms and Conditions.

While not particularly compelling overall, this casino still offers a decent selection of slot, table and live casino games. The popular titles include Hawaiian Tiki, Bakery Bonanza, Midas Fortune, Juicy Fruits, Hot Pepper and a huge variety of roulette and blackjack games.

But MeokClub doesn't offer sports betting and virtual sports like you'll find at many other online casinos.

On the MeokClub website, the games are divided into several thematic categories, for example “Bingo” or “Fishing”, as well as according to the provider.

The number of providers is quite limited and lags far behind the choice offered by other casinos. Instead of the usual choice of several dozen game providers, at MeokClub we see only a handful. Among the names of providers we see only two of the leading companies – Pragmatic and Evolution. The remaining games are from little-known providers such as JILI Games, Fachai, JDB Gaming, KingMaker and Yes Bingo Games.

There aren't many good arguments to gamble through this casino other than the low minimum deposit. The anonymity, the lack of publicly available Terms and Conditions, and the impossible to confirm license claim are pretty hard to swallow. Disappointing bonuses and an unimpressive choice of game providers are also reasons to look for better options.
