FGFox makes a great first impression. The website it operates from has a sleek design and a cool fox mascot. We were easily able to find some pretty important information about the regulatory status of the casino as well. There is an impressive library of games from some of the leading developers nowadays to browse and overall it seemed like FGFox would be quite the good time.
But the more we looked around the different pages on its website, the more issues with the house we found. For instance, the bonuses, which initially seemed quite plentiful and generous turned out to be somewhat limited. There is also a fair bit of issues regarding the withdrawal policies of the house as well – from long processing times to restrictive minimum withdrawal amounts.
So, can we recommend playing in this online gambling house? The following full review of it will seek to answer just this question, by going over everything you need to know about its promotions, regulation, games, payment policies and more:
Bonuses
There are a decent amount of bonuses with this casino, which reward both new and loyal players with significant amounts of money and Free Spins. Here is an outline of what these bonuses look like:
Bonus | Min deposit | Max bonus | Wagering requirements | Cash out limit |
First Deposit Bonus | $20 | 100% up to $100 + 50 spins | 40x | $10000 |
First VIP Bonus | $200 | 100% up to $1000 + 100 spins | 40x | $10000 |
Second Deposit Bonus | $20 | 50% up to $300 + 50 spins | 40x | $500 |
Monday Free Spins | $20 | 100 spins | 40x | $10000 |
Tuesday Cashback | - | 15% | Unspecified | None |
Thursday Reload | $20 | 50% + 100 spins | 40x | $10000 |
VIP Bonuses | - | $150000 | 3x | None |
We didn't like how some of the conditions of the promotions were not listed on the Bonuses page, and we had to scour the Terms and Conditions of the casino for really basic information about them. For instance, the maximum amounts you can get from some of the promotions are among the info we had to delve deep for, and they were not even mentioned for some of the promotions.
Still, there are some pretty nice bonuses here, and so, let's take a closer look at them:
- There is a special promotion available for the first time you deposit. This is the First Deposit Bonus, which grants you 100% of the amount of money you deposit, up to $100, as well as a bundle of 50 Free Spins to enjoy on top of that. You need to cash in $20 or more to claim it, and that is a fair enough minimum deposit requirement. There is also a wagering requirement of 40x to comply with. It simply represents the number of times you are expected to wager the money from the bonus, so you can withdraw it and the profits made with the promotion. This is a very common condition for the bonuses of any casino, and the range in which said requirements are found in is most commonly between 30x and 40x. FGFox is within this range, if a bit on the high side! There's a cash out limit of $10 000 to this promotion, which is very generous of the casino!
- If you wish to cash in a high amount of money to get you started with the casino, the First VIP Bonus might be more up your alley! It can be picked instead of the previous promotion, and requires a minimum deposit of $200 to obtain. The money you receive is up to $1000 and is calculated the same way, as 100% of the deposit you've made. There are 100 Free Spins instead of 50, too. The wagering requirement is the same and this is a fairly nice bonus for high rollers overall. The only downside is the fact that despite giving you up to 10x as much money as the previous bonus, the same cash out limit applies to both, which is a bit more restrictive in the case of the VIP bonus.
- Whichever of the promotions above you end up getting, there will be a Second Deposit Bonus which you can obtain after you are finished with the previous one. This is a more modest promotion, which adds just 50% of the deposits you've made, up to $300. There are 50 Free Spins too, and the wagering requirements are the same. The cash out limit for this bonus is just $500, which is very low, however.
After you have played through the Welcome Bonus you have chosen, there are several Recurring Bonuses which you can get an unlimited amount of times. Here is what they are:
- The Monday Free Spins Bonus is a great way to start the week off with a generous helping of Free Spins. You can pick between depositing $20, $50 and $100 and getting 20, 50 or 100 Spins. We appreciate bonuses which allow you to choose your reward like that. There is also a 40x wagering requirement for the money which you can win from the promotion, and we see that as a fair enough amount. The cash out limit here is $10 000 once again and that is great.
- One of the most poorly explained bonuses is the Tuesday Cashback. In general, cashbacks are a way to recover some of your betting losses, and this one awards you 15% of said losses. However, we have no idea how much the maximum bonus is or what its wagering requirement is. We cannot even know what amount of time the cashback is counted for – does it recover lost wagers from Tuesdays or from the whole previous week? This is a promotion which FGFox desperately needs to elaborate on!
- Finally, there is a simplistic Thursday Reload Bonus. This is a special incentive to deposit during the fourth day of the week, and if you do so and cash in $20 or more, you can get a 50% bonus as well as 100 Free Spins. We are unsure what the maximum amount for the promotion is, but appreciate the big Free Spins bundle nonetheless! The wagering requirement is once again 40x and the cash out limit of $10 000 applies here as well.
There is also a bunch of VIP Bonuses which you can claim by simply playing with the casino. The more you wager, the higher the level of your account will grow. Every $12.5 you bet will reward you one Point, which can be used to level up. There are 30 ranks in total, and all of them have significant rewards for reaching them. There are bundles of Free Spins for the first five – between 20 and 100 Spins. The next 25 ranks award bonus money, with the maximum reward being the staggering $150 000 you can claim if you manage to get to level 30. The wagering requirement for any of these bonuses is just 3x and there is no cashout limit.
License
Here is what the casino claimed about its license:
Apparently, it is overseen by one of the four Curacao regulatory bodies, Gaming Curacao (GC). This claim is very easy to check, because the GC requires license holders to implement its Digital Seal into their websites. The Seal is actually visible to the right of the previous screenshot. It is the colorful logo of the oversight body, which can be clicked. Doing so takes you to the following page:
This is an excerpt from the register of the regulator. which completely confirms what the casino has said about its license. But who is Gaming Curacao and why is the regulatory status of online casinos such a big deal? Well, the four master license holders of Curacao are the most popular destination for casinos to get regulated in nowadays. That is because they have managed to strike a unique balance between the interests of egaming companies and their clients, which does not stifle the former while protecting the latter in a number of tangible ways. Here is what these tangible protections look like:
- There are special ways in which the data you share with casinos needs to be stored. That is because you need to submit a lot of personal and payment information in order to clear its KYC checks. You wouldn't want this kind of information to leak, and that's why the regulatory bodies of Curacao and the majority of the rest of the world require casinos to use top-notch encryption protocols for it!
- The games you play with every casino use a Random number generator to determine whether you win or lose each wager you make. These generators are complex math algorithms, which are also under the control of the regulatory bodies nowadays. Said generators are audited, in order to ensure there is no undue bias in them. The audits are performed by independent people, picked by the regulator to ensure no conflict of interest. That is how you can trust the casino games of licensed houses!
- Thirdly, there are also a set of rules about how casinos need to handle problem gambling. First off, they need to offer their players a wealth of resources about what this problem is and where to seek help. Secondly, they need to comply with self exclusion requests, like setting custom deposit limits and enabling time out warnings. They can even close down their account if they feel it necessary!
These protections are why we recommend licensed casinos! And so, we are pretty happy with the regulation of this house. There is more information we'd like to share about it, though. Here are the languages its website is translated to and the countries where FGFox does not accept players from:
Languages: English, Finnish, German, French, Norwegian, Polish, Italian, Greek, Spanish, Portuguese
Restricted countries: United Kingdom, Show All, Afghanistan, American Samoa, Barbados, Belarus, Botswana, Bulgaria, Burundi, Cambodia, Central African Republic, Congo (Brazzaville), Cuba, Curaçao, Cyprus, Côte d'Ivoire, Estonia, Fiji, Guam, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Korea, North, Lebanon, Libya, Lithuania, Mali, Malta, Moldova, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Palau, Palestine, Romania, Russian Federation, Samoa, Somalia, South Sudan, Spain, Sudan, Syria, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Venezuela, Virgin Islands, U.S., Yemen, Zimbabwe
Deposit and Withdrawal
There are tons of deposit methods you can use with this casino. Let's take a look at them, their conditions and which currencies you can use to cash in:
Deposit method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Credit/Debit Card | $20 | $5000 | Instant | Free |
AstroPay | $20 | $5000 | Instant | Free |
Jeton | $20 | $5000 | Instant | Free |
MiFinity | $20 | $5000 | Instant | Free |
Neteller | $20 | $5000 | Instant | Free |
Paysafecard | $20 | $5000 | Instant | Free |
Skrill | $20 | $5000 | Instant | Free |
Crypto | $20 | $5000 | Instant | Free |
Currencies: Euro (EUR), Swiss Franc (CHF), US Dollar (USD), Australian Dollar (AUD), Canadian Dollar (CAD), Norwegian Krone (NOK), New Zealand Dollar (NZD)
From credit cards, through PaysafeCard vouchers and crypto, that is a lot of different means of deposit. The minimum amount you need to top your account up with is just $20, which is in line with the rest of the industry.
There is no fee for cashing in, but you might need to cover third party charges. These will be particularly noticeable when it comes to crypto deposits, which all have miner fees you need to contend with. Overall, when it comes to depositing the policies of FGFox are decent. The same cannot be said about withdrawing from the casino:
Withdrawal method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
MiFinity | $40 | $5000 | up to 3 days | Free |
Skrill | $40 | $5000 | up to 3 days | Free |
Jeton | $40 | $5000 | up to 3 days | Free |
AstroPay | $40 | $5000 | up to 3 days | Free |
Crypto | $40 | $5000 | up to 3 days | Free |
We should start off by saying that before you can request any of your money from your account, you need to wager the deposited funds at least once. This is not really the problem with the casino's policies, as it is just a simple AML requirement most houses have in place.
What is less common, and way less acceptable, is the fact that FGFox requires you cash out $40 at the minimum! This is twice as much as the average amount in the industry, but it is also twice as much as the minimum deposit. That is just not acceptable at all. At least the $5000 maximum withdrawal is decent.
However, there are more restrictions on withdrawals. For instance, the casino has a processing time of 3 days for every request. While this is already way too long, FGFox does not process new requests until three days since the last time you've cashed in have passed. There is no way to process two at the same time as well, and there is a limit of 3 pending withdrawals at all times. We see no reason why the casino would need to restrict its players like that.
At least there are no withdrawal fees, but third party charges still need to be covered by you. That is reasonable, though, and so is the following inactivity fee:
Most casinos charge similar fees for dormant accounts, and the size of this particular one is nothing extraordinary either.
Games and Game Suppliers
Here is a list of all Game Suppliers which partner with this casino and offer their games there:
Game providers: PragmaticPlay, Playson, Tom Horn, Swintt, Nucleus, Smartsoft Gaming, Kiron, Spribe, Yggdrasil, Thunderkick, PGSoft, Mancala, Slotmill, Leap-Gaming, Evolution, GameArt, 1x2gaming, Mr Slotty, Fazi, Gamzix, Iron Dog Studio, Betsoft, Quickspin, Igrosoft, 7Mojos, Wizard, Gamebeat, Hacksaw, Vivo Gaming, Habanero, KA Gaming, Lucky, Reevo, EAgaming, Tvbet, Golden Race, Evoplay, TrueLab, Booming Games, Onlyplay, Bet2Tech, Triple Cherry, Mascot, Belatra, Felix Gaming, Platipus, Ezugi, Fugaso, Atmosfera, Fantasma, BGaming, Spinmatic, ELK, Alg, Revolver Gaming, CT Interactive, Red Rake, Dlv, Kalamba
We counted 59 of them in total, and that is above the average we see nowadays. Still, some houses have over 100 of these suppliers too. That is not to say that there is nothing to play with FGFox – in fact, we quite like its library. Here are the games you can find within it:
- Slots: There are tons of great slots like Gates of Olympus, Starburst, the Big Bass Bonanza series, Book of Dead, Wolf's Gold and many more. We would have liked to be able to order them by themes, which is sadly not possible and makes navigating the website of the casino more difficult.
- Table Games: There are virtual Roulettes available, and you can also play live dealer versions of them as well as Baccarat, Poker and Blackjack.
- Game Shows: FGFox offers a series of excellent Game Shows, like Crazy Coin Flip, Funky Time, Boom City and Crazy Time. Tune in to them from the Live section of the casino.
- Crash Games: Only one of these fast-paced games can be played in this casino – Aviator. We hope to see it expand its catalog with more similar titles.
Conclusion
FGFox is a pretty good casino with some pretty huge downsides. We would recommend the house as long as you don't mind its unfriendly withdrawal policies and harsh bonus conditions, but there are better options available out there.
