Cookie Casino is a pretty good online gambling house overall, and we were quite pleased with out experience with it. It even managed to make a good first impression! Landing on the casino's website showed its two mascots – the cookie you can see in the logo above and a gingerbread man. We always appreciate casinos which have unique themes, and we can say that the one here, cookies, is definitely rarely explored. Such themes show a greater level of care for the casino, and, usually, for the player!
We then discovered that the casino has a pretty massive library of Slots, Table games, Game Shows and so on, sourced from over 50 of the best Game Suppliers out there. And playing them is as simple as signing up and cashing in. Both of these processes take a couple of minutes at most, which is another advantage of this house. Additionally, there are some fairly attractive Welcome bonuses to get too!
However, we should say that no casino is perfect and this one is no exception. In fact, there are a couple of issues we noted, like the rather small range of Recurring bonuses you could get. We would also have liked to see more payment methods be made available.
So, is it worth checking out Cookie Casino? Or would you have a better time playing somewhere else? Read our full review, available below, to learn more about the advantages and downsides of the casino, and be able to decided whether it is the right place for you!
Bonuses
As we mentioned, Cookie Casino has a good set of Welcome bonuses, but lacks a reliable roster of Recurring promotions. Its bonus policy is a bit of a mixed bag, overall. However, it still deserves to be examined carefully. Here is a table which outlines the different promotions with the house:
Bonus | Min deposit | Max bonus | Wagering requirements | Cash out limit |
First Deposit Bonus | $20 | 100% up to $100 + 120 spins | 40x | Unspecified |
Second Deposit Bonus | $20 | 50% up to $100 + 100 spins | 40x | Unspecified |
Tuesday Treats | $20 | 30 spins | 40x | Unspecified |
Sweet Sunday | $20 | $300 + 50 spins | 40x | Unspecified |
VIP Bonuses | - | $100000 | 3x | Unspecified |
Let's start off with the two Welcome Bonuses. They can be claimed over the course of the first two deposits you make, and award you with a generous amount of Bonus cash and Free Spins. Both of them have a couple of similar conditions which we'd like to examine before delving into each promotion in more detail.
Firstly, there is a common minimum deposit requirement of $20 for each of them. Nowadays, such promotions generally demand you cash in about as much, in order to qualify for them. Secondly, withdrawing the money from the bonuses is subject to clearing a 40x wagering requirement. This kind of requirement is fairly common with all casinos nowadays, and represents the amount of times you need to play through a promotion to be able to cash it out. When it comes to casino bonuses which are received by depositing, you can generally expect that requirement to be anywhere in the range of 30x to 40x. So, Cookie Casino has a decent enough rule about wagering its bonuses. Finally, there is no cash out limit, to any of the Welcome promotions. This means there will be no restriction to how much you can withdraw via the bonus cash, which is great. Now, here is what each of the two bonuses offers you:
- The First Deposit bonus doubles your initial deposit, up to a maximum of $100. There are also 120 Free Spins, which are distributed over the course of four days from the date of your qualifying deposit, in batches of 30 spins per day.
- There is also the Second Deposit bonus, which grants you 50% of the relevant deposit, up to the same maximum. Even though the promotion has a smaller multiplier, it is still fairly sizeable. Not to mention the 100 Free Spins which are also a part of it! These Spins are to be credited to your account in two batches of 50, on the day you received the bonus, as well as the day after.
Now, let's examine the Recurring bonuses with the casino. These two promotions can be received on certain days of the week, by depositing $20 or more. The advantage of the bonuses is that you can claim them an unlimited amount of times, provided you do so within the respective timeframe in which they are active. Here is some more detail on both of the promotions:
- The first of the two promotions is the Tuesday Treats. It is a very straightforward bundle of 30 Free Spins, which you can get by cashing in the qualifying amount we mentioned during any Tuesday. The bonus does come with a 40x wagering requirement for the winnings from the Free Spins, which is fairly decent, especially given the lack of a cash out limit.
- There is also a generous bonus which you can claim during the weekend – the Sweet Sunday promotion, which grants you 50% of the first deposit made during the day indicated in its name. The maximum bonus amount is pretty great, as it is set to $300. Additionally, you will get a bundle of 50 Free Spins as part of the bonus. The wagering requirement for this bonus is 40x, just like the previous promotion's. And just like it, there is no cash out limit.
Finally, we should touch on the VIP Program of the casino. As you deposit and wager more and more, you will earn Comp Points, at a rate of 1 Point per every $25 wagered. Gathering enough of these will allow you to level up your account. There are thirty account levels overall, and reaching a new one awards you with a special reward. These rewards can be cashed out provided you wager them three times, and fall within the following categories:
- There are firstly Free Spins which you can get. These come in bundles between 10 and 150 Free Spins, available between ranks 1 and 9.
- Next, from rank 9 onward, the rewards for levelling up are transformed to instead be various amounts of Bonus cash, between $10 and $100 000.
Overall, these are great rewards, and are made even better by the lack of a cash out limit. However, we should also mention that there is an alternate use for the Comp Points you can earn, and you can cash them out for real money, at a rate of 150 Points for $1. There is a 1x wagering requirement for any cash you receive that way.
License
We are happy to report that this casino is under the rigorous oversight of the Malta Gambling Association (MGA). This is one of the most widely respected regulators in the egaming industry, and is also the most popular one in the EU. It is also very strict towards casino operators, holding them to high standards, and providing the player with a wide array of protections. But how do we know that Cookie Casino is actually licensed? Here is what the house had to say about its regulation on its website:
We can easily verify that claim by clicking on the MGA logo on the left. This is the Digital Seal of the regulator, which every license holder is required to incorporate within their page. The Seal leads us to the register of the regulatory body, and more specifically, the page for N1 Interactive Limited, the parent company behind Cookie Casino. Here is what said page looks like:
This proves that N1 Interactive Limited is an MGA-licensed operator. However, to prove its connection to the house we are covering, we need to examine the list of approved domains, which the regulator connects to the license holder. And indeed, we were able to find the domain of Cookie Casino among them:
It is important to verify such claims to regulation, and after doing so for Cookie Casino, the house is definitely licensed, just as it says to be. This means that anyone playing here will have access to the full range of protections the regulatory body demands casinos provide them with. Here is what those are:
- First off, license holders are required to ensure their games are fair, by submitting the random number generators, used within them, for review, by independent auditors. These auditors then go over these generators, which are complex mathematical algorithms. This is how they can determine whether there is any bias in them towards the house and report on it. Whenever you are dealing with a licensed house, you can be confident you are playing actual games of chance!
- Secondly, an often overlooked aspect of regulation has to do with the data protection policies that casinos need to follow. Whenever you sign up, cash in, cash out and so on, houses need to collect certain information about you, your payments and other such facts. This is done in order to combat money-laundering, and is generally an important part of the fight against money laundering. But your information, stored with the house is very sensitive, and it leaking could cause you lots of harm. That is why casinos need to make sure they keep it safe, by encrypting it in such ways as to make data leaks, or it being obtained by malicious hackers, incredibly difficult!
- Finally, there are also a set of rules that are aimed at combatting gambling addiction and ensuring that the games are fun and safe for everyone. MGA-licensed houses offer their players sufficient information on what this addiction can look and manifest as, as well as where one can seek help for it. Besides that, they also provide players with a variety of self-exclusion measures they can use to take control of their spending. From setting custom deposit limits and time out warnings, to even closing down your account, an MGA-licensed casino is one which promotes a healthy and mature approach to gambling!
As you can see, it is great that Cookie Casino is a licensed casino. In general, we prefer to deal with such houses over their unregulated peers, as we believe they can offer a higher level of service and better conditions overall. However, let's get back to our review of this particular casino, with a list of the languages you can view its website in:
Languages: English, German, Finnish, French
We should also mention that there are certain countries where the services of Cookie Casino are not going to be available. A full list of them is provided below:
Restricted countries: Australia, Poland, United Kingdom, Show All, Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Anguilla, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Barbados, Belarus, Belgium, Belize, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Cayman Islands, Central African Republic, China, Colombia, Comoros, Congo (Brazzaville), Congo (Kinshasa), Cuba, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Côte d'Ivoire, Eritrea, Estonia, Ethiopia, France, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Georgia, Ghana, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Jersey, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kiribati, Korea, North, Laos, Latvia, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Lithuania, Macau, Macedonia, Mali, Martinique, Mauritius, Mayotte, Mexico, Moldova, Morocco, Mozambique, Myanmar, New Caledonia, Nicaragua, Niger, Nigeria, Niue, Norway, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Portugal, Reunion, Romania, Rwanda, Saint Martin (French part), Serbia, Sierra Leone, Slovakia, Slovenia, Somalia, South Sudan, Spain, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Togo, Tokelau, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, Turks and Caicos Islands, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Venezuela, Wallis and Futuna Islands, Yemen, Zimbabwe
Deposit and Withdrawal
As we mentioned at the start of our review, we would have appreciated more payment methods being available with the house. At the time of writing, players can cash in with credit cards, bank transfers and a couple of e-wallets and e-vouchers. That is good enough, but other house can offer a bit more variety and also offer localized payment solutions and even crypto as viable means of deposit and withdrawal.
Still, let's take a look at what the policies around depositing and the currencies you can use to do so are:
Deposit method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Credit/Debit Card | $10 | $4000 | Instant | Free |
Bank | $20 | $5000 | Instant | Free |
Skrill | $10 | $10000 | Instant | Free |
Neteller | $20 | $4000 | Instant | Free |
MiFinity | $20 | $2500 | Instant | Free |
Paysafecard | $20 | $1000 | Instant | Free |
Currencies: Euro (EUR), Canadian Dollar (CAD), US Dollar (USD), New Zealand Dollar (NZD), Norwegian Krone (NOK)
Overall, we consider the deposit policies to be quite solid. Starting off from the low minimum amount of just $10-$20, to the high maximums, fast processing times and lack of fees by the casino, Cookie Casino is quite competitive. We should mention though, that there are sometimes third party charges which are applied by the payment provides for each transaction. These will be up to you to cover, as they are with most casinos nowadays.
Now, let's take a look at the withdrawal conditions of the house, too:
Withdrawal method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Bank | $250 | $4000 | up to 5 days | Free |
MiFinity | $20 | $2500 | up to 5 days | Free |
Neteller | $20 | $4000 | up to 5 days | Free |
Paysafecard | $20 | $250 | up to 5 days | Free |
Once again, we wish we had more of these methods at our disposal. But other than this complaint, the policies are solid. We should mention that there is a wagering requirement for your deposits of at least 3x, which you need to cover in order to cash out. That is a common enough AML policy which you will generally find with most casinos these days.
After you have done so, the minimum withdrawal amount is $20, or $250 for bank transfers. The former is about as much as most casinos require, but bank transfers are commonly available at lower minimum withdrawals than that massive amount.
The processing times for outgoing payments are said to be up to five days, which is longer than the average. We hope that deposits tend to be cleared within a couple of hours within most cases. There's no withdrawal fee by Cookie Casino, but, as we mentioned before, any third party charges by the payment provides will need to be cleared by the player. Since that is the case with the vast majority of casinos nowadays, we are not concerned.
There is also an inactivity fee, outlined below:
We expected to see such a penalty for inactive accounts, and the size of the fee itself is nothing extraordinary either.
Games and Game Suppliers
There is a pretty massive list of 60 Game Suppliers that the casino partners with in order to source its library of Slots, table games and so on. In general, we expect to see around 50 of these Suppliers at least, but we're always happy when there are more, as it ensures a fuller and more robust games library. Here's who these suppliers are:
Game providers: 1x2gaming, 4ThePlayer, Amatic, Atomic Slot Lab, Betsoft, BGaming, Big Time Gaming, Blue Guru Games, Boomerang Studios, Candlebets, Electric Elephant, ELK, Endorphina, Evolution, Fantasma, Four Leaf Gaming, Fugaso, Microgaming, Games Inc, Games Lab, Gaming Corps, Gamomat, Golden Hero, Hacksaw, Iron Dog Studio, Kalamba, Max Win Gaming, NetEnt, Nolimit, Northern Lights, Oryx, Petersons, PGSoft, Play'n GO, Playson, Print Studios, Push Gaming, Red Tiger Gaming, Reel Life Games, Relax Gaming, Retro Gaming, RubyPlay, Slotmill, Smartsoft Gaming, Spade Gaming, Spinomenal, Spribe, Thunderkick, Tom Horn, TrueLab, Wazdan, Win Fast, Other
As you can see from the list above, some of the biggest names in casino software development, like Spinomenal and Pragmatic play are among the partners of the casino. Here is what those games are:
- Slots: There is a great range of Slots here, including some of the most popular games like Pho Sho, Book of Dead, Take the Bank, Chili Pop among thousands of others. The games are ordered in several sub-categories, and you can browse only the Newest, Most Popular and the games with Bonus Buy features, for easier navigation.
- Table Games: There are live dealer versions of popular table games like Baccarat, Poker, Blackjack and Roulettes, available in multiple languages. There are also virtual dealer versions of Roulettes, but not the other games. No casino experience would be complete without those games, and we are happy to see them here!
- Game Shows: Since Cookie Casino partners with Evolution Gaming, you can find the entire Game Show roster of the developer, and more. You can play Boom City, Sidebet City, Crazy Time, Crazy Coin Flip and many other fun televised casino experiences.
Despite the wide amount of games available, there are still some missing from the roster of this casino. We would have liked to see it also offer Crash games, or a couple of Scratch card games, Keno and so on. All of this are fun niches of games to explore, each with a dedicated audience which will be let down by their lack with this casino!
Conclusion
Cookie Casino is a great casino but it has some issues which you might not be able to look past. For instance, the house does not have enough payment methods and cashing out via bank transfers requires a significant sum of money. Its cash out times could be faster, too. So, even though it is a licensed casino with a wide amount of games to play, you might have more fun somewhere else.
