Bitz
Table of contents
Bitz is a brand new online casino and sportsbook. It also claims to have its focus on crypto gambling, but we don't actually think that's the case. To be clear, crypto is accepted here, but there's nothing special about the way the house does it. In fact, that's just the main issue with this casino. It does not do anything special. Instead, it is just okay at best.
At worst, it has a highly questionable regulatory status. We think that Bitz is unlicensed, but there is no way to prove that either way. This means there's no way to know whether the house will be able to provide you with any of the protections you would generally expect from casinos. Then, another issue we ran into was the lack of a decent deposits policy. In fact, the casino just does not feature enough payment methods.
And when it does, there's no transparency about some very important details about these methods. For instance, the maximum deposit amounts with the casino are just not mentioned anywhere. We are also not fond of the lack of bonuses of the house. There are just two promotions it offers its players, and a bunch of Tournaments they can take part in. In our view, that's far from enough.
On the other hand, it would be false to say that the casino does not have its good sides, too. It features a fairly expansive library of games and a decent sportsbook. So, it seems like we need to delve deeper into this casino and examine where it fails and where it shines! Here's our full review that does just that:
Bonuses
Probably the most disappointing thing about this casino is the complete lack of bonuses. It features just two promotions of its own. And one of them, the Welcome bonus can only be claimed once. So, there is actually one promotion you can get on a consistent basis if you play here.
The issue with that lack of promotions is that bonuses are a great reason for a lot of players to check out a casino. Since Bitz pretty much features none of them, a large subsection of players would be disappointed in the casino. That said, if the promotions are good, at least what is available will be attractive. But this wasn't the case. Let's take a look at just what the conditions are of the bonuses that the casino features:
Bonus | Min deposit | Max bonus | Wagering requirements | Cash out limit |
Welcome Bonus | $10 | 100% up to $560 | 45x | Unspecified |
Weekly Cashback | - | 5% | 0x | - |
So, let's get started with the Bitz Welcome Bonus:
- This is a promotion which, true to its name, can only be claimed once, on the first deposit a player places. The best thing about the bonus is that players can claim it with deposits of at least $10. This is a very decent minimum deposit requirement, which we are all in favor of! As for what the bonus does, It adds 100% of their initial deposit as bonus funds. Now, this is a fair enough multiplier. But Welcome bonuses are the one place where casinos go all out and offer really massive, or really unique promotion. This one is just decent instead. Similarly, it has a decent enough maximum bonus amount of $560, but that is, once again, not much to write home about. What about the wagering requirement of the bonus? Well, it has one, just like pretty much any similar promotion would nowadays. The requirement is set to 45x, though, which is excessive. Usually, we see it around 30x to 40x. A wagering requirement, if you are wondering, is the amount of times you need to play through a bonus to cash it out. The higher the requirement, the farther you are from withdrawing a bonus! Back to the Welcome bonus of the casino, there is no information whether there's a cash out limit applied.
As you can see, this is a decent enough promotion, but we cannot get behind its wagering requriement. After you are done playing through said decent bonus, you will only have access to the following promotion:
- Weekly Cashback: A cashback bonus is nothing new to this casino! The type of promotion is actually fairly common with casinos nowadays. What does it do? Well, it allows players to recover some of their losses from casino games. Essentially, it is calculated as a percentage of said losses over a certain period of time. Here, with the Bitz Weekly Cashback, the promotion adds 5% of said losses back to your account. The maximum of the bonus is not defined by the casino. We are tempted to believe that there is no maximum then, but that might not really be the case. About the wagering requirement of the bonus, it is explicitly set to 0x. According to the Terms of the promotion, anything you win from it can be withdrawn to your account right away. The cashback is credited to your account each Monday.
There is one more kind of promotion which players may find with the casino – its Challenges. These are supposedly daily missions, which award you with certain amounts of Free Spins or bonus cash. But at the time of writing, none were available. So, we cannot really say how lucrative they are!
Then, there's also a bunch of Tournaments available. These are special competitions, hosted by the Game supplier partners of casinos. To take part in them, you just need to play the games of whoever the Supplier hosting them is. And the rules of these Tournaments are very simple, too. The more you win, the higher you place on a leaderboard among fellow players. Whoever is at the top at the end of the runtime of the promotion wins its big prize. But there are usually plenty of rewards to go around. And there are usually no wagering requirements for the cash you win from those.
None of that is to any credit of this casino, though! In fact, the Tournaments are available with a ton of houses, which offer the games of the host Suppliers. There is no reason to play here to take part in them. And what's more, we cannot really say that these are promotions. Who knows if you will win such a competition? The point of the promotions of a casino is to provide consistent and predictable rewards. That is achieved by regular deposit bonuses, engaging loyalty programs and so on. Since Bitz does not have those available, its promotional structure is just not good enough, in our view, and the Tournaments cannot fix that!
License
Regulation is incredibly important in the online casino landscape of today. We always prefer dealing with licensed houses over their unregulated counterparts. Unfortunately, Bitz is not a casino with a verifiable license. Let's take a look at what it says on the important topic of its regulation:
Essentially, the house claims to be overseen by one of the four license issuers in Curacao. This small Carribean nation has delegated the authority to regulate its egaming sector to these four private bodies. The one which Bitz mentions is Gaming Curacao. How can you verify that a casino is actually the holder of a license by this authority? Well, you can't, unless it has the Digital seal technology of the license issuer implemented.
This digital seal is just the logo of the regulator. It can be clicked on to take you to the register of Gaming Curacao, where you can see the license for yourself. Back to Bitz, though, it did not have such a seal anywhere on its website. And since the license issuer does not allow us to browse its register any other way, the license of the house is not verifiable.
There are two possibilities about the regulation of the casino, in our opinion. First, since Bitz did launch very recently, it can be licensed, but yet to implement its digital seal. Now, normally, casinos actually rush to do that before their launch, so that is not really likely. Second, the casino is lying about its license. That would be fairly concerning! If a house is willing to deceive its players about something as important as its regulation, then who knows what else it lies about!
However, the bigger issue here is not really that we cannot verify the license of the casino. It is instead that the house might not be able to offer you all of the protections and guarantees you could normally expect from licensed casinos! Let's take a look at what those are:
- Data safety regulation: Every time you play in an online casino, the house collects a lot of personal information about your identity, payments and so on. This info needs to be gathered and stored, because houses are required to attempt and combat problem gambling. However, the way it is stored is very important. Licensed casinos are required to use some of the toughest encryption protocols nowadays when handling said information. This makes the odds of it leaking or being obtained by hackers very slim!
- Fair Games: How can you know you are playing actual games of chance? Well, by playing with a licensed casino! They are required to source their titles from trusted and regulated Game Suppliers. These software developers undergo rigorous testing. The random number generators, which are used in each game, are checked for bias. If such bias is found, it can be reported on and fixed. That way, each Slot, table game and whatever else you can play pays out as much as it is supposed to!
- Responsible gambling options: Another crucial aspect of regulation is the amount of attention to responsible gambling. Combatting gambling addiction is always at the forefront of casino regulation. Consequently, doing so is also something casinos strive towards, too! The rules they need to follow while offering responsible gambling options are the following: First, players must always have access to information on what problem gambling is and where they can seek help. And second, they must have access to self-exclusion options. These allow you to reduce your exposure to the casino, by, for instance, setting custom deposit limits for yourself.
Overall, there are many more reasons to prefer licensed casinos to unregulated ones. And we are not fans of the fact that Bitz might very well be lying about its license. Nevertheless, let's get back to our review. Here's a list of the languages the casino's website is localized to, followed by a list of the jurisdictions where its services are not avaialble:
Languages: English, Russian
Restricted countries: Netherlands, United Kingdom, Show All, American Samoa, Aruba, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba, Curaçao, France, Sint Maarten (Dutch part), Spain, United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Virgin Islands, U.S.
Deposit and Withdrawal
A full list of the deposit methods and currencies you can cash in with is available below.
Deposit method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Credit/Debit Card | Unspecified | Unspecified | Instant | Free |
Bank | $3 | Unspecified | Instant | Free |
Crypto | Unspecified | Unspecified | Instant | Free |
Currencies: Russian Ruble (RUB), Indian Rupee (INR), Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), US Dollar (USD), Tether (USDT), Binance Coin (BNB), Litecoin (LTC)
You will note that said list is not especially long. Casinos tend to offer more options to their players when it comes to deposits. That is because they want to make it as easy as possible to cash in. However, Bitz does not do that, which is underwhelming, in our view. At least the range of currencies is decent.
The minimum deposit seems to be around $3. But we have no clue what the maximum is. With casinos like Bitz, such a maximum might not even exist, with players instead being allowed to cash in as much as they want to. But there might also be a hard limit to how much you can deposit. The issue we take is the lack of transparency more than the actual policies of the casino.
Other than that, the conditions are fairly standard. No fees are charged for cashing in, but you need to cover any accidental third party charges. This is how any casino handles them nowadays, and is no cause for concern about Bitz.
Let's take a look at the withdrawal conditions as well:
Withdrawal method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Credit/Debit Card | $1 | $300000 | up to 24 hours | Free |
Bank | $1 | $300000 | up to 24 hours | Free |
Crypto | $1 | $300000 | up to 24 hours | Free |
Note that you need to play through the deposited fund a certain amount of times before cashing out. This kind of policy is fairly standard. What's not so standard is the casino setting different wagering requirements based on the method of payment you have used. For instance, if you have deposited via a FIAT currency, you will need to wager your funds 1x on sports betting and 3x on casino games. But crypto deposits have a lower, 0.3x wagering requirement.
This is actually a bit too low if one's purpose is to combat money-laundering. Instead, the wagering requirement should be at least 1x. Either way, this policy is not off-putting, but it is worth keeping in mind if you plan on playing here.
As for the minimum deposit amount, it is set to $1. That's actually a very low minimum, way lower than the entry cost requirement and the average with other casinos. The maximum is then said to be as high as $300 000 per transaction. Now, that seems too good to be true!
Finally, there are no fees by the casino for the processing of your withdrawals, but you are still going to have to pay any third party charges which apply to them. Once again, that's a common and fair policy. No fee seems to be charged for inactivity, or at least Bitz does not mention such a fee in its Terms and Conditions.
Games and Game Suppliers
Here's a list of the Game Suppliers you will find with Bitz at the time of writing:
Game providers: Evolution, PragmaticPlay, Hacksaw, Nolimit City, Amigo Gaming, 3 Oaks, Endorphina, NetEnt, Playson, Igrosoft, Amatic, Red Tiger Gaming, Relax Gaming, Play'n GO, Big Time Gaming, Belatra, Platipus, Quickspin, Blueprint, Booming Games, Mascot, BGaming, Kalamba, ELK, Spinomenal, Fantasma, Habanero, Yggdrasil, PGSoft, Ezugi, XPRO Gaming, Revolver Gaming, Macaw Gaming, TrueLab, Wazdan, Thunderkick, Retro Gaming, Gamzix, Zeusplay, Tom Horn, Spribe, AvatarUX, Red Rake, Push Gaming, OneTouch, Iron Dog Studio, Rival, Other
We counted over 50 of them, which is great! The more Suppliers, the better the library of a casino. And 50 is generally the low end of what we consider to be acceptable. It is fair to say that the games library is the best feature of the house. Let's take a look at what is available:
- Slots: There is a great range of Slots, which are neatly organized by their mechanics. For instance, you can filter out only Bonus Buy games, or Jackpot games. If you are looking for games from a specific developer, you can filter those out too. Some of the more recognizable slots you can play here are Book of Rebirth, Big Bass Bonanza, Sugar Rush, Book of Dead, Wolf's Gold, Elvis Frog and so on.
- Table Games: There are tons of table games to play here. Versions of classics like Baccarat, Poker, Blackjack or Roulettes are available in multiple languages, with both live and virtual dealers. This is excellent!
- Game Shows: The casino has Evolution Gaming as one of its partner Suppliers. This means it has an extensive roster of Game Shows. Among them are Funky Time, Dream Catcher, Crazy Time and many more. Game Shows are an exclusive online casino experience, and we can easily recommend checking them out.
As for the Sportsbook of the casino, it was fairly decent as well. There were over 60 different markets, with thousands of events in some. From Football to Gaelic Hurling, it seems there's something for everyone here. Pre-match and live betting are both available. Even esports can be wagered on, and there's a couple of them in the Live betting section of the sportsbook, too.
Conclusion
Overall, Bitz is a subpar casino. We do like its games, but they cannot excuse the lack of a verifiable license. Also, the deposit and withdrawal policies are just not good enough. In light of that, we recommend checking out our other reviews to discover a better casino!
