Betcasa
Table of contents
Betcasa is a brand new online casino. At the time of writing, it is just a couple of weeks old at most. Usually, the newer a house is, the more it has to offer when it comes to its services. For instance, newer casinos tend to feature higher bonuses, new and exciting games and so on.
However, it seems like Betcasa is pretty content with being a mediocre casino. It has a couple of good features, some decent ones and an unfortunate amount of bad features, too. To start off with the good, we are very fond of the regulation that it runs under. The house is fully licensed, and in one of the most popular regulatory jurisdictions, too. Signing up is also pretty fast, and does not require the player to submit too much information.
The games library is pretty decent, with a good range of Suppliers and a great layout, making it easy to navigate. But that's about it when it comes to the positive aspects of the casino! And it's not easy to glance over the negative ones either. One of them is the fact that Betcasa has barely any payment methods available. Then again, the ones which are available are not outlined in sufficient information, when it comes to withdrawals. And there are barely any bonuses either! What is available is incredibly underwhelming.
Overall, Betcasa is a mixed bag, so we definitely need to take a closer look into it! That is the only way to tell whether the casino is worthwhile or whether you would be better off playing somewhere else! So, let's do just that, starting off with the underwhelming bonuses:
Bonuses
Normally, an online casino will feature many exciting promotions, which serve to attract players and keep them around. And since there are so many people who love getting bonuses, that is no wonder! However, we are sorry to say that this house has a very bad bonus policy. There are two promotions available in total, and what they offer is not really significant at all. Let's take a look at each of them:
Bonus | Min deposit | Max bonus | Wagering requirements | Cash out limit |
Welcome Bonus | 30 BRL | 100% up to 300 BRL | 30x | Unspecified |
Loyalty Bonus | - | 210 BRL | 1x | Unspecified |
These promotions are the Welcome bonus and the Loyalty Bonus. The former is available once per account, and the latter can be claimed every week. With that in mind, what does each of the promotions have to offer?
- The Welcome bonus adds 100% of your deposited funds as a bonus amount. This means it doubles your initial deposit, up to a total of 300 BRL. That's not really all that high, compared to what other casinos offer on their first bonus. They tend to go all out, and provide players with thousands of Reals. What is curious about the bonus is that the maximum you can get is displayed in Brazilean Real, which is the default currency of the casino. But the minimum deposit you need to make is shown in Euro, for some reason. Either way, that is set to €5, which comes out to around 27-30 BRL. This is a fair enough minimum deposit requriement. There's also a wagering requirement to the promotion, which players need to keep in mind! It represents the amount of times you need to play through a bonus to be able to withdraw it. With this casino, that is set to 30x. We consider this to be a fairly decent requriement. It is definitely towards the low end of what houses tend to ask for nowadays. There is no cash out limit stipulated in the legal documents of the house. Overall, this is a fairly boring bonus, with an underwhelming maximum amount. We do not believe the low wagering requirement can save it!
- The Loyalty Bonus allows you to build up Points, which you can exchange for different rewards at the end of each week. All the points you've built up that way have to be spent, or you will lose them. The issue with the bonus is that it claims you win a point for every 3 BRL wagered. But it also states that deposits, and also referring other players to the casino, can also contribute to the points you have. However, it is not clear how that works, and how much you can get for depositing. As for the rewards, there are four tiers to the bonus, which players can reach. These require you to have between 200 and 2000 points and net you between 50 and 210 BRL. The size of that bonus is nothing special, of course. But we do appreciate that it has a very low 1x wagering requriement, which makes it easy to cash out.
In terms of bonuses, we would also like to show you the following clause, found within the Terms and conditions of the promotions:
It states that the casino reserves the right to confiscate winnings from the bonus, even after the player has completed the wagering requriement. Now, we don't like that at all. We believe such a clause is not fair, because it does not clearly define when the house can take away the bonus winnings. Not that it should do that at all! Casinos nowadays let you cash out freely, provided you have completed the wagering requirement, and do not restrict how much you can win from it.
Or, alternatively, they set up cash out limits – specific amounts of money, over which you cannot profit from the bonuses. And if the house is upfront about that, and does not actually conceal the fact you can win up to 10x the size of your initial bonus, for instance, we have no issue with such clauses. What bothers us is the uncertainty. This makes an already weak set of promotions all the worse, and we cannot recommend getting them!
License
The best aspect of the casino is, without any question, its regulation. Here is what the house has to say about this important topic:
It claims to be licensed in Curacao, by a body called the Antillephone. Most casinos we review nowadays are actually licensed by either the Antillephone, or another one of the three Curacao-based regulators. Before we explain why that is, we need to actually make sure that Betcasa is telling the truth. We encourage you to always check the licenses of casinos manually. In this case, doing that is very easy. Every Antillephone license holder needs to implement the regulator's Digital seal into their website. That is the orange logo you see on top of the screenshot above. Clicking on it brought up the following page:
This is an excerpt from the register of the license issuer. It completely confirms what the casino claims. So, there's no doubt that the house is actually licensed. But why is the Antillephone so popular, and what does that even mean for the player?
Well, this licensing body has managed to strike a unique balance. Casino operators love it because it does not restrict them too much in terms of what bonuses and games they can offer. But that does not mean that players are not able to get certain protections and important guarantees. Let's take a look at what those are:
- Fair Games: How can you know that you are playing an actual game of chance? Well, whether the Slot, table game and so on you are playing pays out, and how frequently it does that, depends on a complex algorithm. This is called a random number generator. Licensed casinos need to work with reliable and regulated Game Suppliers. These are companies which have undergone audits. Said audits can determine whether there's a bias in the algorithm, so it can be corrected. In summary, the games with licensed casinos can be trusted to pay out, but there are no guarantees for the titles in the libraries of unregulated houses!
- Responsible gambling features: When we talk about responsible gambling, we mean the ability of the player to self-exclude, to limit their exposure to the casino. Regulated houses are required to offer just that to players. From custom deposit limits you can set, to the ability to close down your account permanently if you need to, you are always in control with licensed casinos. But they go one step further, and encourage healthy betting behavior. That is all part of regulation, of course, and not something which you can expect out of unlicensed casinos.
- Data safety: Finally, the guarantees for the safety of your data are some of the most often overlooked protections you can get from licensed casinos. But they are also very crucial, too! Just consider how much information an online gambling house has to collect on its players. From their names, addresses, phones and so on, to all sorts of banking information, pictures of various official documents and more! You definitely don't want that leaking, or being obtained by malicious hackers. So, to address this issue, license issuers around the world, Curacao included, demand casinos encrypt this information. That way, you don't need to worry about it falling into the wrong hands.
Overall, we are very happy that this casino is actually licensed. However, let's get back to our review of the house. Here are the two languages its website is available in:
Languages: English, Portuguese
It seems like Betcasa is designed with the Brazilian player in mind, with the default currency being the BRL and the default language being Portuguese. However, international players can also sign up! That said, there are some regional restrictions, just as with any casino. Let's take a look at what those are:
Restricted countries: Australia, Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Show All, American Samoa, Aruba, Belarus, Belize, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba, China, Curaçao, France, Italy, Russian Federation, Saint Martin (French part), Sint Maarten (Dutch part), United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Virgin Islands, U.S.
Deposit and Withdrawal
We are quite disappointed with the payment policies of the casino. We believe that houses should strive to offer as many methods of payment as possible to their players. That way, said players can pick what is best for them, and deposit in a convenient, possibly cheaper, means.
However, it does not seem that Betcasa shares our values. The only way to deposit here is via Pix and AstroPay. Since Pix is limited to only Brazilian nationals, the only way for anyone outside of the country to cash in is AstroPay. There is nothing wrong with either of these means of payment, but what if someone wants to use a credit card, a bank transfer, a different e-wallet than AstroPay, or even crypto?
Either way, let's take a look at the deposit conditions and the currencies you can open accounts in:
Deposit method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
PIX | 10 BRL | Unspecified | Instant | Free |
AstroPay | 10 BRL | Unspecified | Instant | Free |
Currencies: Canadian Dollar (CAD), Brazilian Real (BRL)
There is a very low minimum deposit requirement of just 10 BRL. This is excellent, and very competitive! The lower the entry cost, the more people can enjoy a casino's website, which we are all for. But the maximum deposit per transaction is not mentioned. The house claims that you can cash in up to €100 000 per day. We are not sure where this currency is coming from, because the list of the base FIAT currencies available exclude the Euro.
Either way, there are no fees for depositing, and we did not expect to see any such charges either. Players generally are only required to pay for the third party costs, associated with their deposits. This is the case here, too. Let's take a look at the withdrawal conditions next:
Withdrawal method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
PIX | Unspecified | Unspecified | up to 3 days | Free |
AstroPay | Unspecified | Unspecified | up to 3 days | Free |
Before you can cash out from the house, you need to achieve a certain turnover. That is of at least 1x the deposited funds. Now, we recognize that this clause might seem unfair. It did seem that way to us too when we first saw it. But it is a common AML measure which casinos are required to implement in their withdrawal policies.
A bigger issue is that there's absolutely no information on what the withdrawal conditions look like in terms of minimum and maximum amounts. All we know about the maximum is that, in total, you can cash out up to €100 000 per day. Sure enough, this is a very massive amount. But the casino does not make it clear how much the per transaction maximum is.
The processing time is said to be up to three days, which is fair enough. This timeframe is actually well in line with the majority of casinos nowadays. As for fees, there are none by the house either. Not that we expected them – players are generally only liable to pay the third party charges we mentioned. There is no fee for inactivity either, and it does not seem that Betcasa penalizes it at all.
Games and Game Suppliers
Let's take a look at the list of Game Suppliers with the casino:
Game providers: Leap-Gaming, Habanero, Triple Cherry, BetGames.tv, Espresso Games, Gamefish Global, Wazdan, Concept Gaming, KA Gaming, Betsoft, Iron Dog Studio, Spade Gaming, PragmaticPlay, BeeFee, Belatra, Evolution, Leander, Tvbet, Gamzix, NetEnt, Vibra Gaming, Macaw Gaming, 1x2gaming, Red Tiger Gaming, Spribe, Kalamba, Tom Horn, Booming Games, PGSoft, Big Time Gaming, Other
We counted a bit under 50 of them in total, which is decent enough. Most houses nowadays are able to launch with that many developers listed in their libraries. More importantly, however, is who these developers are. Betcasa did mention some massive names in the casino software development world, like Play'n Go, Red Tiger and Evolution Gaming. So, here's what you can play:
- Slots: The house features many recognizable Slots. For instance, you can find Sweet Bonanza, Elvis Frog, Big Bass Bonanza, Book of Dead, Book of Rebirth, Rise of Merlin, Mustang Gold and Wolf's Gold among countless other games. There are different sections for new slots, as well as for the top slots, which make navigating the library easier. It can be made ever better if the house sorts the games by their themes, too, but that's a minor complaint.
- Table Games: No trip to the casino is complete without a couple of bets on one of the classics. These classics are games like Baccarat, Poker, Blackjack and Roulettes. Sure enough, you can play them here, too. Both live and virtual dealer versions of the games are available. We really appreciate that. Video poker is in its own section, too, for ease of navigation.
- Game Shows: As we said above, Betcasa partners with Evolution Gaming. It features the whole roster of Game shows by this Supplier, which is excellent. Game Shows are very unique experiences, which you can only find with licensed casinos. They include Funky Tine, Cash or Crash, Crazy Time, Crazy Coin Flip and more!
- Crash Games: Crash games are a bit of a newer genre, which is quickly gaining traction and fans worldwide! These games include Aviator, Plinko, Mines and so on. All of these, and more, are available within the Crash games section of the website of this casino. We do like that it features so many of them.
- Virtuals: There is no Sportsbook with the casino. Nevertheless, if you want to bet on sports, you can wager on virtual football matches from this section of the casino. There's also virtual motorbike and horse racing, as well as virtual tennis, and so on.
Conclusion
Overall, Betcasa has a lot of issues which drag it down. These are the lack of clarity when it comes to the casino's withdrawal policies, and the lack of bonuses. This is a shame, since if we were to look past them, the house would be decent enough. But we don't believe that it's possible to simply glance over its problems. So, instead, we recommend checking out our other reviews instead! That way you can easily find a better place to bet.
