Amon claims to be the “ultimate Egypt-themed casino”, but we are not so sure that this is the case. In fact, there are many casinos which share the same theme with this one. And we are quite confident that most of them are better than Amon. There are plenty of downsides it has, from its exceptionally shallow library of games, to the unreasonable withdrawal fees it can charge. There is also something to be said about its recurring bonuses too. Even though the casino has tons of them, not one is particularly rewarding. They are all pretty much the same promotion too, available in different days and presented as a different offer.
That is not to say that Amon is a terrible place to play. Far from it, actually – the casino is licensed and has a good number of things it does decently too, like a plethora of accepted payment methods. We would just not agree that it is the best casino with the Egypt theme – and if you want to know more about why we think so, check out the following full review of the house, which will go over everything we mentioned and more:

All of the bonuses above, except the last, have one thing in common we'd like to discuss before examining them in more detail. That is their wagering requirement of 40x. Such requirements are inseparable from bonuses these days, and are present with almost all casinos, not just Amon. They represent a number of times players are expected to wager the bonuses they have received, before being allowed to withdraw them, or the winnings realized with bonus funds. Usually, the range we see these requirements in is 30 to 40x, so we can say that this one is reasonable, even if it is on the high end. However, Amon does not allow players to withdraw bonuses – you can only cash out the winnings from them. There are plenty of casinos which don't have such restrictions, and let you cash out the bonuses if you've put in the work to clear the wagering requirement, so we cannot say this is particularly competitive.
At least there is no cash out limit, which means there's no restriction to the amount of money a player can make with their bonuses. On the other hand, all promotions expire in 14 days, so you cannot use them indefinitely. This is a fair enough expiry rate. With that in mind, here are the bonuses Amon offers:
- The most significant promotion it has in store is called the Welcome Bonus. This is available only once, on the first time you cash in. The minimum deposit requirement is just €20, which is in line with what most other casinos require of players. You get 150% of what you add to your Amon account as Bonus money, up to €200. Overall, this is a decent welcome bonus.
- Amon has made it so players can get a bonus for their deposits every day. The different bonuses have different rewards, but are pretty much the same promotion, with just two exceptions. The bonuses can be claimed an indefinite amount of times during the day, which is cool. We will go over each of them separately, starting with the Sacred Scarab Bonus, available on Mondays. This promotion has the same minimum deposit requirement as above, and grants 10% of the funds you cash in, up to €500. The percentage is pretty low, and the bonus is not particularly exciting.
- Another drab bonus is available on Tuesdays, called Happy Hour the Nile. This promotion has the same conditions as the previous one, and we find that to be somewhat disappointing, especially since the previous promotion does not have much going for it regardless.
- The Wednesday Bonus, called Mystery Sarcophagus allows you to deposit and pick a mystery box with a certain bonus inside. The percentages are not made known, but we don't expect them to be high, given the previous promotions.
- Thursdays have two different daily bonuses, and both of these are actually different than the previous promotions! Let's start with the Mummy Spins. This straightforward promotion requires you to cash in €50 or more, in order to get 100 Free Spins. Overall, the minimum deposit requirement is too high, but the bonus offers a lot of spins too, so we are happy with it!
- The other bonus we mentioned is called the Scary Mummy Tournament. Tournaments are special events in which players compete to see who can wager the most on the games which participate in the tournament. The winner gets a special prize of up to 200 Free Spins, but there are also decent bundles of Spins for the runner-ups. This is probably the best bonus with Amon.
- On Fridays, you can get the Happy Hour Treasure Room Bonus, which is a promotion that adds 20% of all your deposits, up to the same €500 maximum. In other words, Amon is back to the uninspired deposit bonuses!
- The Saturday bonus, called Pyramid of Amon is a bit different, though. It awards you for the first five deposits you make, and grants you 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% on them. You get the higher percentages the more you deposit, but other than that the bonus has the same conditions as the previous one.
- The Great Sphynx Bonus is available on the last day of the week. It is a 15% deposit bonus up to the same limit we mentioned earlier, and it is not distinct from the rest of the promotions in any way.
- Amon hosts another Tournament, called September Power Weekends. It gives out a top prize of €10 000 each week during the month, and every week another set of games participate in the competition. What we like about this promotion is the undeniably huge prize pool for it, but we don't appreciate the fact that the money you win is bound with a 40x wagering requirement. Most of the time, casinos have no restrictions for the winnings from such events.
- The last promotion is a special set of VIP Bonuses. These replace the Daily bonuses we listed out with better ones. For instance, the VIP version of the Sacred Scarab bonus adds 20% of the deposit as promotional cash, but it also has a €1000 maximum bonus and a 30x wagering requirement. To start getting the bonuses your account needs to have a VIP Status. This can be received by invitation from the casino's operator. There is no information how you can earn that invitation, but it also adds a couple of other perks, like a personal account manager.
License
As far as regulation is concerned, we are pleased to announce that this is the only area of the services of the casino where it did not disappoint us! Here is what it has to say about the license that it holds:
It claims to be regulated by the Antillephone – one of the four bodies which oversee the egaming sector of Curacao. The tiny Caribbean country is where most of the houses we cover are licensed, and we can easily verify what this casino claims too. Every licensed house needs to have a Digital seal on its website – it is the orange button in the center of the previous screenshot. Clicking it leads to the following page:
This is the register of the Antillephone, which verifies and certifies that Amon is an approved domain of Purple Bay B.V. – a licensed casino operator. But what does that mean for the player? Well, there are tons of protections you have available! Here is what these are:
- Casino games have a certain percentage of funds you can expect to keep when playing, called an RTP rating. These ratings are public knowledge, but how can you know that the rating the game's developer has posted on its website, for instance, matches what you can actually get from the casino? Well, this is where regulators step in! They require casino operators to undergo audits for their games, performed by independent professionals they pick. This way you can be sure there's no bias in the slots, table games and everything else you can bet on!
- There are also specific regulation on how player data itself should be stored. As part of their compliance efforts, casinos collect a lot of sensitive information about you, because they are requited to follow KYC and AML guidelines. That is why regulators require them to encrypt said data with state of the art security protocols, which are quite difficult to breach by hackers and make data leaks pretty much impossible too.
- Finally, there are also a lot of resources players have access to if they feel like their gambling is getting out of hand. There are also self-exclusion options like custom deposit limits and time out warnings, which casinos need to provide. Problem gambling is an issue which regulators take pretty seriously, and they require casinos not only to give you access to these measures, but also respect your opting into them. There is even the option to close your account if you need it!
The reasons above are why we recommend playing with licensed casinos. Back to Amon, though, we'd like to give you some more useful information about its website – here are the languages it can be seen in, as well as a list of the countries where it is not accessible from:
Languages: English, French, Norwegian, Polish
Restricted countries: Australia, Netherlands, Show All, Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, American Samoa, Angola, Austria, Bahrain, China, Cuba, Czech Republic, Eritrea, Estonia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Greece, Greenland, Guam, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Korea, North, Kuwait, Libya, Lithuania, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Norfolk Island, Northern Mariana Islands, Oman, Pakistan, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Somalia, South Sudan, Spain, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United States, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Virgin Islands, U.S., Yemen
Deposit and Withdrawal
Depositing and withdrawing from this casino can be done in a variety of different payment methods, from credit cards to crypto and almost everything in between! Here is a list of these methods, as well as the accepted currencies:
Deposit method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Credit/Debit Card | €25 | €3000 | Instant | Free |
MiFinity | €20 | €10000 | Instant | Free |
Cashlib | Unspecified | Unspecified | Instant | Free |
PayPal | Unspecified | Unspecified | Instant | Free |
Apple Pay | Unspecified | Unspecified | Instant | Free |
Crypto | Unspecified | Unspecified | Instant | Free |
Currencies: Euro (EUR), US Dollar (USD), Canadian Dollar (CAD), Norwegian Krone (NOK), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT)
Note that not all of these payment methods are available in every jurisdiction where Amon operates. Also, note that, while it accepts a variety of currencies, the only account currency is the Euro. Depositing in anything else means the house will convert to Euro at an exchange rate it does not specify. We aren't happy about this policy!
There is a minimum deposit requirement of €20 which is reasonable. There are no fees for depositing, but any third party charges need to be paid by the player, which is notable if you are looking to deposit in crypto.
Next, here is what the withdrawal conditions of the casino look like:
Withdrawal method | Minimum | Maximum | Processing time | Fee |
Credit/Debit Card | Unspecified | €2000 | Instant | Fees Possible |
MiFinity | Unspecified | €2000 | Instant | Fees Possible |
Cashlib | Unspecified | €2000 | Instant | Fees Possible |
PayPal | Unspecified | €2000 | Instant | Fees Possible |
Apple Pay | Unspecified | €2000 | Instant | Fees Possible |
Crypto | Unspecified | €2000 | Instant | Fees Possible |
Most houses require you to turn over your funds a certain amount of times before you are allowed to cash out. There is no mention of such a clause with Amon. The minimum withdrawal amount is not mentioned, but there is a daily maximum of €2000 and a monthly one of €20000. We find that to be decent conditions. What we don't like is the following clause in the Terms of the casino:
If the player makes 25 or more withdrawals per month, the next time they cash out during the month will incur a “reasonable fee”. We see no reason why a casino nowadays would charge you for such a thing, though!
Next, there is no information about how long withdrawals take. Since this is governed by internal policies, which are different for every house, we cannot speculate on that. We just hope they get cleared within 3 days or so, which is about as much as casinos should take to process them.
There is also an inactivity fee:
The size of the fee is not mentioned anywhere, but such charges are not uncommon, and Amon provides the player with a way to recover the money it has charged them for being inactive. Therefore, we are not concerned with the fee.
Games and Game Suppliers
Here is a list of all the Game suppliers which the casino features on its website:
Game providers: Playson, Nolimit City, Relax Gaming, Fantasma, Spearhead, Gaming Corps, Big Time Gaming, Swintt, Evolution, Play'n GO, PragmaticPlay, Red Tiger Gaming, NetEnt, Quickspin, Yggdrasil, Push Gaming
If you have played with other houses, you will certainly notice how short this list is! We expect to see at least 50 Game suppliers, but Amon has under 20. Still, here is what you can play:
- Slots: Even though there is a pretty small number of games overall, Amon partners with some popular suppliers. Players can therefore find games like Big Bass Bonanza, Gates of Olympus, The Dog House: Megaways Book of Dead, Wolf's Gold and much more. The main issue here, besides the low number of games is the lack of any kind of filter for them, besides their developer. This makes navigating the library pretty difficult if you are looking for, say, games with a specific theme.
- Live Games: Classic table games like Baccarat, Poker, Blackjack and Roulettes are available with live dealers, which is great. There are no virtual dealer tables for them, but that is not such a big loss. There are also severage Game Shows: Cash or Crash, Funky Time, Sweet Bonanza Candyland, Crazy Coin Flip, Extra Chili and so on.
Conclusion
We would not recommend playing with Amon. Even though the casino is licensed, it simply does not have enough things you can play. The bonuses with it are pretty boring too. Overall, there are tons of casinos which do what Amon does better, and you can check out one of the recommended houses below instead of wasting time with this subpar casino.
